Kaleb and I met as children because of our parents. We "dated" in fourth grade, and were best friends throughout fifth grade. We went to separate middle schools and did not talk until sophomore year of high school, when we started dating. We broke up for a short time in high school, and got back together in 2015, senior year and have been together since.

We went on a family vacation to Marathon, FL in June of 2021. Little did I know that the entire reason for the family trip was a surprise proposal that Kaleb had been planning for months. We got there on Friday and I began getting a little suspicious. On Saturday, Kaleb and I went out shopping and met the family for sunset on the beach. When we arrived at the beach, Kaleb had an area set up with a blanket, flowers, other decor and a hired photographer, where he proposed. As I said yes, our families came out from behind the dune where they were hiding (photo below). The sweetest day, and we got to spend it with some of our favorite people.
