Matron of Honor
I’ve known Chrissy for over a decade! I was lucky enough to be in her wedding as well. She is married to my brother. (Bless you!) Chrissy has become my sister. She has been by me through it all. She has witnessed my struggles, and loved me through my chaotic life. There have been countless times where she has guided, lectured and prayed for me. Chrissy is so kind hearted, motherly, and a woman of God. What a blessing she is in my life!
Maid of Honor
I met Jacey later on in my life. We met while working for the same hospital. Within a few months, what seemed like a friendly coworker relationship, has actually transitioned into a forever friendship. Jacey has became my dearest, closest friend. We share our most adventurous memories together. From concerts, shopping trips, church, girls night out, you name it, we are always into something. And even though we have almost a 10 year age gap between us, our souls just match. I can’t wait to have her standing by my side!
Bridesmaid
Morgan and I met in 2016, by accident. We were forced to spend vacation together. And although it seems like vacation with your best friend sounds great, that wasn’t the case for us. We didn’t even know each other at the time! Long story short, our friendship flourished in the years thereafter that particular trip. We have experienced some of life’s devastations as well as joyous times together. We have even been able to experience motherhood together. Raising our babies, just 3 months apart! Whatever life has thrown our way, somehow we have managed to count on one another. I’m so grateful that God blessed me with a a true friend like her!
Bridesmaid
I met Holli during the lowest time of my life. I feel like Holli and I hit it off with our old souls. (We are like old granny’s, night gowns and all) The more I got to know Holli, I realized how genuine she was. She helped me feel safe and immediately became part of my family. We have had some serious heart to heart convos over the years. We have shared some huge milestones with both our kids since we’ve been friends. And without a doubt, our pasts have made us who we are as women. I know I can always count on Holli. I’m glad she’s going to be with me on the best day of my life!
Best Man
I have chosen Nathan as my best man. He is my middle brother and has been around through the thick and thin of my life and Kaity and I's relationship. He is amazing with Aubrey (Kaity's daughter) and I can't think of anyone else I would rather have stand up there next to me on my wedding day. Love you bro!
Groomsman
Samuel is one of my oldest friends and one of the people I trust most with anything. We met when I started going to Tri-City Christian school in the spring of my 8th grade year. He (and a future groomsman to be named) were the first people to greet me on my first day walking around a new school and it wasn't long after that that we became good friends and later best friends. We've played basketball and soccer together all through high school and I am so thankful to have a brother in Christ like Samuel in my life. Love you brother.
Groomsman
The previously mentioned groomsman to be named later is also the twin brother of Samuel, my good friend and brother in Christ Daniel. Much like his brother, Daniel and I played basketball and soccer all through high school together and were around each other for a very large chunk of our formative lives together. Daniel is definitely the quieter brother and so He and I got along in that capacity very well. I consider both of these guys my very best of friends and I am grateful for them and their presence up there with me. Love you brother!
Groomsman
Owen is my youngest brother and another one who has been there throughout most of the things I have gone through in my life, including my relationship with Kaity. He is a loyal friend, brother, and I'm also excited to have him as a part of my groomsmen crew for my wedding. Love you bro
Flower Girl
Oh, where do I begin with this little girl? She’s been mama’s sidekick and motivation. And, she keeps Evan on his toes! Especially when dancing to “Great balls of fire” By: Jerry Lee Lewis. She’s beautiful, full of life, loving and adventurous. It’s safe to say, Aubrey is the light of all of our lives. She’s brought everyone together with her spunky attitude and kind heart. God knew we needed “Little” Our lives wouldn’t be whole without her!
Officiant
Reverend Harris is the father of the groom and the easy selection for the Marriage Officiant of the wedding. Lee has been a pastor for a number of years at various churches in NC and VA. Kaity and I both knew that we wanted my father to lead the ceremony and be the one to officially marry us and we can't be more excited for that time! Love you Pops!
Honor Attendant
I didn’t really know what category to put James in but I definitely want everyone to know who he is! James is my brother. And I’m saying that he’s an honorable attendant because…James will be walking me down the aisle. This is a huge deal. I know this is not traditional but, I wouldn’t want anyone else. My brother has been my best friend, a mentor, and a father figure to me. He’s been my ranting buddy, a crying shoulder, and protection when I needed it. James and his wife(Chrissy) are so special to me. They are also a great example of what a married couple should be like. If you see tears falling when he walks me down the aisle, just know that he has always wanted what’s best for me. And I finally found my person just like he has.
Ring Bearer
Wyatt is the 2nd great grandchild on Evans’ families side. He brings the party where ever he goes. He loves Jesus and loves his people big! He spends his time playing baseball and basketball! He’s excited to be apart of our special day! (Y’all just wait til you see his suit)
Usher
Kenyon is my friend Holli’s son. We have grew close over the past few years. When I first met him, he was just starting high school. He was shy and I was even taller than him at the time. (He has now by passed me by a lot) I’ve watched Kenyon turn into such a great young man. Ev and I enjoy watching him play sports when we can. He is a gifted athlete, very smart and has a bright future ahead. We are so grateful to have him apart of our wedding!
