FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kaitlynn Hornback and Nicholas Councilman
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than April 5th, 2026. To do this use the QR code on your formal invitation or click the RSVP tab in the menu above. If you do not RSVP by April 5th, unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate you at our wedding. We will miss celebrating with you, however, any unanswered responses will be marked as "declined".

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm so we ask that you arrive by 3:30 pm to ensure you don't miss anything! This will give you ample time to park, enjoy refreshments, and get settled before the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly request formal attire for our wedding celebration. For women, this typically means floor-length gowns or elegant midi dresses. For men, a dark suit and tie is appropriate. A tuxedo is welcome, but not required. Please no jeans, T-shirts, or casual wear- and kindly avoid wearing shades of white. A note on the weather: Tahoe can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the forecast and bringing a light layer just in case.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus-one?

Answer

We’re so grateful for your excitement to celebrate with us! Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We hope you understand and know how much we appreciate your presence.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we’ve decided to keep our celebration adults-only. Thank you for understanding and we hope you enjoy a night off to celebrate with us!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is ample parking available at the venue, and both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same location. If you plan to enjoy a drink (or a few), we encourage you to arrange a designated driver or use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. The venue is not strict about overnight parking, so guests are welcome to leave their cars and retrieve them the next day if needed.

Question

What if I am unable to attend?

Answer

We’ll miss you, but completely understand if you can’t make it. Please let us know by April 26th, 2026 so we can plan accordingly. You can RSVP directly through our website.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We’ve set aside a limited hotel block at The Incline Lodge—rooms are first come, first serve, so we recommend booking early! To reserve, please use the link under the "travel" tab on our website or call the hotel directly and mention our names for the group rate. The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is also a great option and is very close to the venue. There are also lots of great Airbnbs and vacation rentals in the area. While you can stay in Reno, please note it’s about a 40-minute drive—we recommend staying in Incline Village for proximity and ease.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture every moment beautifully. Your presence is the most important thing to us—please stay present and enjoy the moment without a phone or camera in hand. After the ceremony feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like!
