Kaitlyn's order - lengua street tacos until stuffed Cooper's order - lengua street tacos or tortas Our baby, our one love, our soulmate. We love the food and the people and everything here. Two locations - the one on Boyscout Rd is a short walk away from our old townhouse. We would literally eat so many tacos here that we became regulars (at their old location).
GET THE RANCH. BUY A BOTTLE. TAKE IT HOME. SAVOR IT. The pizza is good too.
Get some grub and go on a walk by the river! Stop by Good Eats Kusina, LLC for Kaitlyn's favorite Filipino food. Kaitlyn's order - variety of lumpia If you are there before 9:30/10am the end furthest from the river may have stand selling fresh bread that's really good. Find the barrels of juice about halfway down - the most refreshing sugar rush. Cooper's pick - Asian Street Food vendor
Cooper's pick: Blueberry Lavendar Lemonade Kaitlyn's pick: Their goat cheese toast-thing They both came here for the first time during the campus visit.
The burritos are HUGE and the window seats are PERFECT for people watching.
Kaitlyn's favorite post run pizza.
The street tacos are good (not as good as Lokos Tacos, but close) and the margaritas are Kaitlyn's favorite.
Kaitlyn and Cooper ate here quite a few times. Cooper's pick: Mango lassi Kaitlyn's pick: literally anything
Kaitlyn's pick: Git in mah belleh We went on a double date here for brunch with our friend's Ashley and Robert. We wish we had gone back more.
Kaitlyn came here a lot with her USCA volleyball team. During one of Cooper's first visits he ate here while waiting for the volleyball game to start.
A cute place downtown that fueled a girl's night or two.
The walkway that connects to our favorite farmer's market - it's pretty and was Kaitlyn's go-to running spot before she found Savannah River Rapids.
We went here to celebrate Cooper getting his Baton Rouge job - all we can remember is that it was delicious.
Kaitlyn's pick: Eggs Julienne or goat cheese scramble Cooper's pick: French toast The vibes are great (sit outside it's so pretty) and is near the North Augusta greenway/riverwalk!
Anything is good here - Kaitlyn and Cooper would get this anytime they needed something quick and good.
Picture this - Kaitlyn picked up trail running as a grad school hobby. She goes on one of her first "trail" runs at Phinizy swamp. She's jogging and suddenly stops because she sees something in the water (less than 10 ft from her) and assumes its a turtle or beaver - because what else would it be? She crouches down and locks eye with a gator. No one ever told her that gators live in Augusta, GA.... So that was a fun surprise.
We thought about getting married here. We spent a lot of time walking the trail on the other side of the river from the pavilion. If you go down a few miles there's a clearing and Kaitlyn spent a lot of time picnicking and enjoying breaks in her runs here.
Kaitlyn's first run club met here to run! She spent a good amount of time running with her favorite running buddies from her graduate program (Diego, Hannah, Kassy, and Alex). Her teammate and friend, Abbey, her partner Holdren, and their dog Leo lived nearby, too!
Kaitlyn came here to read non-school related books in grad school.
One time Kaitlyn ran through the field for the end of one of her races. Her and her friend Kassy watched a game here.
