We're getting hitched!

Like many modern romances, Kaitlyn and Wyatt’s story began with a swipe on Hinge. After a week of chatting in August 2023, Wyatt asked Kaitlyn out for a Monday night date, only to cancel when his brother came into town (shoutout Yale). Kaitlyn decided to give him a second chance, and on Wednesday, they finally met in person. Kaitlyn’s friends immediately nicknamed him “Wednesday,” a name that stuck until Wyatt officially earned a spot in her contacts list. On that first date, Kaitlyn thought Wyatt was quiet and shy. She was soooooo wrong. Wyatt, meanwhile, thought Kaitlyn was beautiful and brought his best “A game.” He still fondly remembers her big curly hair that became part of the memory. Typically a "kiss on the first date" guy, Wyatt planned to walk Kaitlyn to her car like the gentleman he is. To his surprise, her apartment was a 5 minute walk away. Kaitlyn gave him a quick hug and a "thank you" before skipping back to her apartment, leaving Wyatt wanting more. Was this part of her plan or was she just the shy one? After the date, Wyatt called his brother on the drive home (shoutout Yale) and said he needed to “lock this down.” Kaitlyn, on the other hand, took a little longer to be convinced, but had been on enough Hinge dates that she knew she wanted to see Wyatt again. Just a few months later Wyatt took Kaitlyn home to Ohio for an OSU game. Maybe it was the victory versus Penn State or watching Kaitlyn go drink-for-drink and down a whole pizza, but one drunk “I love you” later and they were all in. Nine months into dating, Wyatt tore his ACL which meant Kaitlyn got to play nurse, but not in a fun way ;). Assisted showers, a geriatric shower chair, and late-night ice pack swaps might have tested Kaitlyn's patience, but it strengthened their bond and confirmed that they were in this together. Fast-forward to June 2025, when Wyatt proposed at the Palace of Versailles in France. Kaitlyn had a feeling it might be coming, but kept talking herself out of it - until Wyatt handed his phone to a kind older couple to take their picture. That’s when she knew. Lots of tears later (from Kaitlyn) and Wyatt asking "So is that a yes?, they agreed to forever.
