August 23, 2021 In light of the increased cases in Florida, and the announcement that the Pfizer vaccine is FDA approved, we ask that you all please get vaccinated knowing you will be in a place with community spread, with a variety of guests from throughout the county. Remember, Shiloh has a degree in public health and would be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns! If you choose not to get vaccinated, we ask that you get a COVID test before arriving, wear a mask, and if you are positive, please stay home! March 2021 We’re thrilled that we’re able to move forward with our reception on October 23, 2021! While this isn’t what we originally planned (understatement of the century) and have had to tweak our guest list a bit, we’re confident that it will be significantly safer and possible to move forward. We can’t wait to celebrate our first year of marriage with you! Love, Kaitlyn and Shiloh July 21. 2020 She said yes...COVID-19 said not yet. With the worsening conditions in Florida over the past month and no plans to mitigate the effects of the pandemic in sight, we felt it was most prudent and responsible to postpone our large wedding reception. We were so looking forward to celebrating our marriage with all of you, but couldn't do so in good conscience when the pandemic is affecting our state so heavily, and our roles in healthcare. Know that this decision wasn't made lightly, and your health and safety are our highest priority during this unprecedented time. We know many of you had to make travel plans to attend, and we're so sorry for any inconvenience this announcement caused. We will still be getting married in a small ceremony with immediate family, and hope you'll save our new date- October 23, 2021 to celebrate our marriage with us! Thank you so much for your love, patience and understanding. Love, Shiloh and Kaitlyn
Like any love story in 2019, this starts on Bumble. Shiloh drew Kaitlyn in with his adventurous pictures from a mission trip to Zimbabwe. Kaitlyn's incredibly brilliant opening line? "Is that an elephant?" Despite the less than intellectual conversation starter, four days later, Shiloh and Kaitlyn found themselves at a four-hour dinner on a Monday night, sharing their love of travel, literature, puns, witty humor, and most importantly, a love for Jesus. Learning they had mutual friends in common, (including Shiloh's older sister), Shiloh invited Kaitlyn to a game night of his, where she officially won him over. On October 27, 2019, after a weekend of their favorite activities, Shiloh surprised Kaitlyn with the sweetest proposal in one of their favorite spots in Venice, despite Kaitlyn's best efforts to figure out his plans. (Thank you, City of Venice, for the permit at the last minute, allowing Shiloh to propose at the gazebo!)
