Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everything is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. And please remember to save the white outfit for the bride!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in the Hudson Valley in October can range from 70 and sunny to 30 and rainy. Please keep an eye on the forecast and you may want to bring a jacket just in case!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The Ceremony is taking place at St. Joachim Church and the reception will be held at the Roundhouse Beacon. Transportation will be provided between the Courtyard by Marriott Fishkill and the event sites. However, there will be a short walk between St. Joachim and the Roundhouse.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Depending on the weather, the cocktail hour may happen outdoors! But ladies, fear not, there is plenty of patio space so you may wear your high stilettos if desired. The ceremony and reception will be held indoors. Although there is a short walk between St. Joachim and the Roundhouse. Please plan accordingly!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bridal party will be taking photos after the ceremony nearby. There will be some time for guests to refresh themselves and make their way from the church to the cocktail hour.

Is there parking available at the venues?

Answer

Yes! There will be free parking available at both St. Joachim and the Roundhouse.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding reception is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 7th! You can do so by heading to our 'RSVP' page.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have a block at the Courtyard by Marriott Fishkill. Please check out the 'Travel/Hotel' page for more information!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we've hired an amazing photographer for that! However, we would love to see your reception photos! Use the hashtag #KaitwontheRace when posting on social media so we can keep track of all the photos!

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! We are registered through Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Crate and Barrel, and Williams Sonoma. More information can be found on our 'Registry' page.

Can we bring gifts to the wedding?

Answer

Of course! While your attendance is all that we require, if you want to bring a card or gift, there will be a gift table at the reception.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes, we would love to celebrate with you at our Welcome Party on Thursday night before the wedding as well as after at our Post-Wedding Brunch and an excursion to Weed Orchards and Winery! Check out our 'Schedule' page for a full timeline of the weekend festivities!
