Aside from the views and Civil War history at the top of the railway, there is also plenty to do at the bottom of the incline station. Below in St. Elmo, you will find a great collection of unique shops, restaurants, and attractions. Some of the things you’ll find are microbrewery tours, fresh flowers, homemade candlemaking, unique coffee, indoor climbing wall, fresh-made burritos, outdoor local dining, and hand-dipped ice cream.

Looking for a nice view? You need to checkout Sunset Rock. It's a beautiful drive up Lookout Mountain (passing Ruby Falls) and a short walk over to a large cliff overlooking the city. (Be careful not to get too close to the edge, it's a long way down!) If you are feeling extra adventurous, you can continue to hike 1.5 miles down to the historical Cravens House.
