Peter and Kaitlyn had first met in 2018 through fraternity and sorority events. They would occasionally say hi in passing and wouldn’t actually start talking until 2019. One of their first encounters was when UMBC aKDPhi hosted an event and the following day, Peter messaged Kaitlyn asking if anybody had turned in a lost wallet. Kaitlyn then found the wallet and drove to College Park to return it. Little did they know this encounter would spark the flame of their relationship. They started texting, started to hang out, and on August 22, 2019, during their first baseball game together (Go O’s) Peter asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend. After that, they had many memorable and monumental moments in life together. From getting Hana, Kaitlyn teaching Peter tennis, moving out to Rockville, playing USTA doubles matches together, traveling internationally, enduring 2 years of nursing school, finishing many seasons of anime, and so much more. They both knew they were better together like beer and fried chicken or pita and hummus. So, Peter secretly planned and recruited Kaitlyn’s friends and sister to help plan a BIG surprise during the upcoming New Years cabin trip. He even went as far as to measure Kaitlyn’s ring size while she was sleeping! And so, on 2025 New Years Day, on a bed of roses with the fairy lights illuminating their faces, Peter proposed to Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn surprised but overwhelmed with joy cried (alot) and said yes! They rang in the 2025 New Years as fiancés! This is just a brief snippet of how our love grew over these few years together. We are so excited for these next steps in our lives and hope you can join us in celebrating us becoming husband and wife on June 25, 2026 in Estes Park, Colorado. Hope to see you all there so we can raise a glass together for our next journey!
