Kaitlyn & Nathanael
Our Story
Nathanael and Kaitlyn first met at HOPE Homeschool Co-op in 2012 where they both took Beth Saadati's English Comp class. They were friendly but never close and didn't have the same friend circles during high school.
After graduation, they lost touch but in the spring of 2023, Nathanael and Kaitlyn reconnected at his younger brother's high school graduation party. During the party, Kaitlyn agreed to host a game night for four reconnected HOPE alumni families.
Over the course of that summer, Kaitlyn and Nathanael hung out regularly during these game nights. That fall, Nathanael helped Kaitlyn throw a surprise birthday party for her mom. The Collier family joined the Coons/Deese family for Thanksgiving and then New Years Eve.
After spending a night making fun of an old dating textbook, Kaitlyn decided to take the leap and ask Nathanael if he wanted to have a "deeper friendship." He said yes.
And a year and a half later, she said yes too.
