Best Man
My favorite thing to tell people about Jake, is how long we have been friends (23 years and counting). Meeting when we were both five, we always managed to stay in each others lives despite the 500 mile distance between us. During high school, if I wasn't at home it was a good bet that I was hanging out with Jake and his family. To this day there is still an open seat at the Kammerman family table for Jake at any and all family celebrations. My parents are always joking about how their second son is doing any time they ask about Jake, and truth be told he truly is my brother.
Maid of Honor
Let's talk about a best friend and soul sister! This girl walked into my life when I showed up for a bachelorette weekend for a dear friend and we have been inseparable ever since. This lady has been a phenomenal friend through thick and thin and a wonderful roommate for 4 years. She is always there when I am sad with a pick me up or a bottle of our favorite to celebrate the big things in life. I know I can always count on her no matter what I need and I am so grateful. I can't wait for more road trips, baseball games, quality girls nights, and food adventures.
Groomsman
Nick was one of the first friends I made at VCU, and I still can't thank you enough for being my partner in our freshman math class! Some of the best nights I had in college were, during the later coined "Mikey Tuesdays", in that Jackson Ward house. It didn't take long for Nick to convince me to make one of the best decisions of my life, to rush Phi Gam. I can honestly say he has changed my life for the better and I am thankful that he is my brother.
Bridesmaid
Courtney was one of the very first people I met when I walked into my dorm Freshman year at James Madison University. We had late night study sessions in the library, wine nights, dance sessions, yoga classes, and bonded over the ups and downs of life. She is a beautiful person and I am so happy to have her lean on after 11 years of friendship!
Groomsman
Alongside Nick, Ben was was of the biggest reasons for becoming a Phi Gam. Ben was one of the first faces to greet me after initiation and one of the first people I looked to celebrate with when we got our charter. Ben taught me how to embrace who I am and how to be a strong but, fun leader. Ben has the distinction of being the only person to make Kaitlyn jealous after a chance encounter at the gym because our "bro embrace" and me referring to him as a "beautiful man".
Bridesmaid
Meg and I haven't been able to stay out of each others lives since preschool. Through constant (unintentional) meet ups throughout life we became roommates and great friends in grad school. It was like we were always supposed to have an impact on each other's lives. She is a phenomenal teacher, wife, mom, and friend. She is an inspiration and one I have always looked up to as a friend.
Groomsman
Naren and I first met during our graduate school interviews. Little did we know that for the next few years we would be practically inseparable as we traversed graduate life together. Naren is one of the smartest people I know and has been a constant source of support, inspiration and the reason I passed our Prokaryotic genetics class. I have never run across a person who was as accepting and kind as him, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to go through graduate school with me.
Bridesmaid
We met as education majors and had almost every class together. We connected over our love of teaching and I always admired her ability to organize. We pushed through undergrad and graduate school together through late night study sessions to wine nights while striving to become the best teachers we could be. She has always been one of the most hardworking teachers I have seen and overcome some of the greatest feats in life. I am grateful to call her a friend.
Groomsman
Shout out to Kaitlyn for allowing me the privilege of getting to know Jake. Even though the fireworks the first time we met were because it was the Fourth of July, I couldn't deny his amazing choice in beer and superior beard game. Since then he has carried me through countless escape rooms and a game night at the Newsoms' is one of the best ways to spend a Saturday.
Bridesmaid
This girl was brought into my life because of her wonderful husband! We have been friends for more than 10 years and have had the best of times. She is my concert buddy, crafting queen, confidante, dog mom, and game night companion. I love her creative mind, the ability to literally create something she sees with ease, and always inspires me to to try new things! I can't wait for our families to continue to grow closer as the years go by and for the many game nights ahead!
Groomsman
Like most of the men in this group, Daniel is a fraternity brother who I spent practically every day with since he joined. Daniel is responsible for instilling in me an unwavering confidence that served me well during my time in graduate school. He also taught me how to dress to impress or as we called it, "Dress Frat". Through our hundreds of games of Fifa (which I have yet to win), I have learned both patience and persistence. I remember the life talks and lessons that we shared during my final years at VCU and the shear quantity of Christain's pizza. I can honestly say that I wouldn't be the man I am today without Daniel having been in it.
Bridesmaid
This phenomenal woman came into my life as a bridesmaid for another wedding and now she is one in my own wedding! She is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. If I need a positive influence or shining light, I know I can always lean on her. She is one of my dearest friends even at such a far distance and I am so grateful to have met her a few short years ago. I am so excited for her to be accompanying me on my wedding day!
Groomsman
During my senior year at VCU, all you needed to do was ask Ryan if I was at his house, and there was a good chance that answer was a yes. He taught me how to live and enjoy life that year and is responsible for some of my greatest college memories.
Bridesmaid
My oldest younger sister and my mini me! Cameron has grown into such a wonderful young lady with her brains and beauty! Her smarts are innate just like her daddy and she can light up a room with her quick comments. I am amazed by all the things that she knows at such a young age. Her acting skills and running abilities are certainly something to brag about. I am so proud to call her my sister.
Bridesmaid
My darling littlest sister with all of her sass and style. I am so proud of her unique mind and spicy personality. I know she will use this to do amazing things one day. She has a kind heart and a passion to do big things for all living things. I am so lucky to have her around for a good laugh when I need one.
Bridesmaid
My littlest Feeny and my sister! She is the beauty queen with an even more beautiful mind. I admire her strength through the hard times, her heart when she is there for others, and how she is the perfect balance of her parents. I am so proud of the young lady she has become and can't wait to see what she grows up to be.
