We're getting married!

After many days of chatting online, we decided it was time to meet in person. Mike had planned a lunch at Patrick Henry's pub where he was too nervous to eat. We talked for hours about our favorite things and bonded over our favorite restaurants. We hit it off! Mike planned an Escape Room date with some of his close friends and in Mike's words "I gave her a chance to escape". They scoured the room for clues and Mike showed off his knowledge of all things Greek while Kaitlyn showed off how to work on the fly. We got out without a hitch! The date ended with a bottle of wine and we talked about our lives for hours.

After months of planning and prepping all the way in Georgia, Mike had scheduled an escape room with friends just like our first date. He led us through the rooms of pirate treasure with confidence and ease, while trying not to give anything away. He had a sign leading to the proposal hidden as the last clue: "Look behind you". Kaitlyn turned around to find Mike on one knee with the words " This is your last chance to escape" She of course said yes and here we are!
