kaitlyn and jolie originally bonded on twitter over their love of crime shows, and their connection quickly grew. kaitlyn flew all the way to california to meet jolie in person that june, and they spent the next year and a half in a long-distance relationship that culminated in jolie moving to memphis to live with kaitlyn and start a new chapter. after living in memphis for almost a year, they packed up their fur babies and moved out to chattanooga.

kaitlyn made one of my favorite foods for dinner one night, and after she cleaned up all the dishes she came back out of the kitchen with a plate of cupcakes. she had tried to write out, 'will you marry me?' with the icing but it was too thick so she blurted out the question as she sat down next to me. i said, 'of course!' and we ate about a dozen cupcakes in one sitting. she knew dessert was the way to my heart.
