Dylan and Kaitlyn first met at West Linn High School. They both lived on Mapleton Dr but didn't have overlapping social circles. While they didn't spend much time together during high school, the friends they did meet would eventually bring them back together. Dylan went off to college in Reno with NJ before transferring and graduating from OSU. Dylan spent his time during college snowboarding, surfing and traveling the world when the opportunity presented itself. He graduated with a BS in Recreation Resource Management and a minor in Tourism from the college of Forestry as a member of the National School for Collegiate Scholars for Academic Excellence. After college he lived in Aspen, working for the US Forest Service in the White River National Forest managing 5 wilderness areas. Upon returning home to Portland, Dylan had the opportunity to live with some of his best friends and worked in Business Development for an amazing product labeling company, LGI for 3 years before landing his dream job at Vacasa. Kaitlyn went to college at CCC for two years before transferring to and graduating from Western Oregon. She competed in both sprints and hurdles, eventually becoming the conference Champion in the 400 hurdles. Upon graduating with a BA in Psychology, Kaitlyn coached athletes at CCC and Concordia University, teaching one of her runners how to break her own school record. She worked for a period of time as a Student Brand Manager and Wings girl for Redbull. Kaitlyn has used her psychology and coaching background to land her dream job at NW Functional Neurology. Dylan and Kaitlyn reconnected while in Bend through mutual friends at Redbull for the Freedom Bike Ride. They spent time together at Ski Bowl for Redbull's Schlittentag. Seeing her passion for life, kindness, and independence and the prettiest eyes he had ever seen, Dylan asked Kaitlyn out. Dylan and Kaitlyn's first date was to the jazz bar, Jimmy Max's and have been together for 5 years as of last June.
