Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Barn at Sunset Ranch located at 27650 Co Rd 337, Buena Vista, CO 81211. Weather permitting both the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and our reception will take place indoors.
Please RSVP on our website by August 15, 2026. If we do not receive your RSVP by then, it will automatically be marked as a “no”. We will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time frame they have given us. Thank you for your understanding!
Our wedding will be held in a modern barn in the mountains, so we recommend semi formal or cocktail attire. Please dress nicely, but comfortably and keep in mind the cooler evening temperatures. Ladies~ Think dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates. When choosing your footwear, please note that the ground in the parking lot and around the seating at the ceremony will be uneven. Gentlemen~We recommend dress pants or slacks paired with a button-down shirt and a blazer or suit jacket. Ties are completely optional. Dress shoes are encouraged, and yes, dressy cowboy boots are absolutely welcome. For those wondering, our colors will be fall themed (mainly burgundy and burnt orange) and the bridesmaids will be wearing various shades of orange.
Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate guests listed by name on the invitation. If your invitation includes “and guest,” you’re welcome to bring a plus one.
While we love your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives parents a chance to relax and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us celebrate in this way!
Yes! We have a hotel block at the Mt Princeton Hot Springs Resort, however there are also a number of great Airbnb's in the area. More information about lodging is located on our accommodations page.
There is a gravel parking lot at the venue that can hold about 50 cars. Cars may be left over night but must be picked up by 9am the following morning.
Transportation for the wedding will not be provided. If you think you may need a ride home we encourage you to find a sober driver to ride with or schedule an Uber or Lyft ahead of time as rides in this area may be hard to come by. You can also call Rocky Mountain Taxi for a ride at (719) 966-2005. Please note that Rocky Mountain Taxi services several of the surrounding towns so you may have to wait a bit for them to arrive. Buena Vista is located at nearly 8,000ft above sea level. Please make sure that you drink plenty of water and be aware that you may feel the impacts of alcohol faster than normal. Average daytime temperatures in early October are usually in the mid to low 60's, dropping into the 20's and 30's at night.
