Maid of Honor
I am Karla and I am truly honored to serve as the Maid of Honor for Kaitlyn and Caleb. I met Caleb for the first time in a restaurant where he pointed me out before Kaitlyn even saw me, which shows that he took a vested interest in learning about her and the people most important to her life. It reminded me of Kaitlyn and all the care she has put into loving me the last almost 15 years since we met in band class. Since that day, I have been blessed to see their love form through their beautiful trips together, quality time, and new adventures. They are an inspiration and show what it really means to be there for each other. I love you all and can’t wait to see what the future holds after I do.
Best Man
I’ve been going around and around in my head on what favorite memory I wanted to share about Caleb. To be honest, there’s not just one favorite moment that comes to mind, because Caleb is one of my favorite people. Every time we are together, it’s nothing but belly-laughing and good times. Even in rough times, we always make each other laugh until we cry. But if I had to choose an absolute favorite memory of Caleb, it would have to be our trip to Chicago for comic con. There was a mural of Spider-Man that was spray painted on the building across from our hotel room with an artist tag, “ZWON.” That whole trip we would randomly yell out “ZWON!” while walking the streets of Chicago. All the little things that have become inside jokes that only us and a few close people understand have became part of the foundation of Caleb and I’s friendship. To Kaitlyn and Caleb, I’m honored to be apart of the biggest step in your new journey together. I’d wish you both the best, but that’s what the wedding is for, because you two are the best thing for each other!
Head Bridesmaid
My name is Jada and I met Kaitlyn in elementary school. We were president and vice president of our 4th grade class and the rest is history. I have been blessed to see Kaitlyn through many stages of life and help with the struggles and celebrations along the way. My favorite memory with Kaitlyn is going on our first solo out of town trip to visit Karla in Chicago. I am honored to be a part of this wedding and to celebrate the joining of Kaitlyn and Caleb. I cannot wait for the day we both have Dr. in front of our names!
Groomsman
I’m not sure if there can just be one favorite memory of Caleb. There’s way too many that come to mind, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the countless hours spent playing video games with all of our friends and the amount of times Caleb has left us crying laughing, trying to catch our breaths from his funny comments or jokes. Those times playing games each winter filled with laughs, serious talks or just catching up with one another is one of the best ways to decompress and a time I always look forward to. I know they say you’re supposed to grow up and put the video games down, but I hope we never do grow up! I’m very happy to be a part of Caleb and Kaitlyn’s big day, as I know you are all too, and I’m honored Caleb has chosen me to be one of his groomsmen. Cant wait to celebrate these soon to be newlyweds!!! P.S. Kaitlyn. make sure Caleb still gets time to play video games with me.

My name is Ta’Mya Fryer :) I am 25 years old, currently living in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I was born and raised in Flint, MI. Kaitlyn and I originally met in middle school and we’ve remained good friends ever since. My favorite memory with Kait was her recent visit to see me in Florida. We had the best time shopping, sightseeing, and soaking up the sun at the beach. Kait has been an amazing friend to me for many years and I cannot wait to stand by her side as she enters this new chapter in her life.

My favorite memory of Caleb and I is back when we used to go to the latest shows available at the movies and finishing up with a group of us chowing down a 12-pack of Taco Bell tacos after midnight. This was back about a decade ago, so they weren’t as much as they are now, but still one of the best and most stupid things we have done. I am very happy to apart of the big day and being able to see Caleb marry the person who has made him the happiest I have ever seen him.

My favorite memory of Katie and Caleb would have to be us doing fun activities. Whether that be us being spontaneous and going to Dave & busters, us going to the movies, or watching movies at home while Katie falls asleep on the couch. It’s always a nice time hanging out with them. I’m so happy and excited to celebrate with them in their upcoming wedding!

My favorite memory with Caleb? It’s tough to pick just one, there’s too many to choose from. Out of all of them though, I’d have to say the laughter and joy he brings to a room no matter the time or place. That’s a very good portion of the time I have had with Caleb, and definitely my favorite. I’m very excited to be a part of the big day and am excited for these two wonderful people!

Hi I’m Tenajah! I’ve known Katie since middle school, although we didn’t attend school together until college. One of the smartest people I know, Katie has always inspired me with her drive, her kindness, and her commitment to anything she puts her mind to. I’m so grateful for all the years of laughter, late-night study sessions, and support we’ve shared throughout our friendship. It’s truly an honor to stand by her on such a special day. Celebrating this next chapter of her life is celebrating family, and I couldn’t be happier for her and Caleb!

Where to start, from endless basement hangouts, pizza trips, and near death experiences, “EXPRESSWAY!”, I’ll have to say each and every time Caleb would ask me to shoot hoops together turned out to be some especially memorable times. Whether that time involved casually shooting around and catching up on life together or a competitive run to which he’d normally come out on top. Of course there’s more good times to come, and I’m excited to see the happy memories Kaitlyn and Caleb will make on their journey together!

My name is Chloé Gill (she/her), I graduated from Howard University with a degree in Theatre Arts and Public Relations. I am a creative professional working across stage, film, and visual arts. Growing up, Kaitlyn and I spent a lot of time together having sleep overs, on roadtrips, and various family events. I made many special memories with Kaitlyn but during my senior year of high school taking a psychology course together at the University of Michigan Flint and we grew a lot closer as young adults navigating college. This year happened to be the same year she met Caleb, and I was able to see the beginning of a beautiful relationship. My most recent favorite memory of the couple is showing them around New York City during a visit, sharing some of the things I love about the city, like the Met, and ending the day at one of my favorite Cuban restaurants.

When asked to write a sentiment about of my friend and brother Caleb, I couldn’t find a singular memory to highlight among the hundreds. So instead, I’ll talk about the person that Caleb is. I could talk about his grace and mercy of all the years dealing with a broken young man that people wrote off. I could talk about an endless desire to find someone to love above all else in his life. I could speak about his relentless faith, wisdom and discernment that helps drives every decision he makes. Caleb and I used to speak often about talking about love, hoping that perfect person would fall into our arms. I remember the first time Caleb told me about Kaitlyn, and how I hoped that this was that person for him. From the first time I saw them together, I heard how they spoke to each other. I saw the way Caleb looked at her and the way she looked at him. All at one I realized my buddy was no longer longing for love, he had found it. I was in the presence of a man madly and hopelessly in love, and thank God it was with Kaitlyn! Through her I’ve seen Caleb become a better man in real time. I’ve seen him deal with challenges and issues he’d never had to face before and rise to the occasion. I’ve seen him defend her as a man should. I’ve seen him protect her heart with his life. The man I see in Caleb now wouldn’t be a reality without that beautiful and wonderful woman that stands at his side.
