How do we get to Newport?
Answer
You can fly into either Boston Logan or Providence airports. Boston is 1.5 hours driving to Newport. Providence is 35 minutes driving to Newport.

Where should we stay for the wedding?
Answer
We have a room block at the Wyndham Newport Hotel in Middletown under Kormondy & Gillmore Wedding. Please see the travel portion of the website for the link. The Wyndham is not within walking distance to downtown Newport but is very easily accessible and a great budget-friendly option for our dates. Should you want to stay in Newport, please see the travel section of the website for hotel recommendations and links. We recommend either a hotel or vacation rental in Newport, Middletown (15-20 mins to Newport) or Portsmouth (20-25 mins to Newport). Book early and wherever works best for you!

What is the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Newport is steeped in history and elegance and we want our weekend to feel the same! We are requiring a Black Tie Optional dress code for the wedding day. Men have a choice between wearing a tuxedo or a dark suit. Women have a choice between a long gown or cocktail dress.

Can we bring our kids?
Answer
As much as we love your kids, our reception space is on an open dock to the harbor and not a place for children. We hope you’ll enjoy a getaway just the two of you!

How long should we plan to stay in Rhode Island?
Answer
We will have events Wednesday and Thursday with optional gatherings Friday and Saturday. The bride and groom will spend the weekend in Newport. We would love you to stay as long as you would like! June is an amazing time in Newport and there is so much to do and see.

Question
Will transportation be provided to and from wedding events?
Answer
Yes, transportation will be provided to Our Lady of Mercy from designated locations in Newport and Middletown. We will also provide transportation to Regatta Place and back to designated locations at the end of the night. Please check back closer to June 11 for details on designated pickup locations.
