We're tying the knot!

Katie had recently moved to Boston, when a friend/co-worker approached her about meeting a guy she worked with at a previous company. At the same time, our friend was telling Adam, who was living in Shrewsbury, about a girl she now worked with. Both of us kept shrugging her off but she was persistent and eventually Adam decided to text Katie. We chatted on and off for about a week. Realizing we had a lot in common, we decided we would grab "one drink", just to say we did it and most likely never see each other again. Neither of us knew what the other looked like, but we knew it would be fun to check a "blind date" off the bucket list. Well, 5 hours later on that "one and done" date, we were closing the bar down and now here we are 6 years later, planning our wedding to spend the rest of our lives together.

Since that first date we've had 6 years of adventure, laughter and love as our relationship grew. We moved into an apartment in Southie (South Boston) where we embraced city life and had fun memories with new and old friends. We traveled to different places like Colorado, Annapolis, Wilmington NC, Charleston SC, and other fun vacations. In February 2020, we purchased our home in Holliston, MA where we have spent A LOT of time learning to cut down trees, splitting firewood and clearing the rest of our land to build a horse barn. We continue to love living in our little town of Holliston with our black lab, Waylon.

When Adam decided it was time to propose, he knew he wanted to do it somewhere that was meaningful to both of us. For us, the mountains in NH holds a special place in our hearts. So, he enlisted the help of Katie's parents to help take a trip to NH and hike Mount Moosilauke on May 14 2022. There was still snow on the mountain but the weather was unseasonably warm and clear on the summit. As Adam worked up the courage to propose, we enjoyed the mountaintop until he finally turned to Katie and got down on one knee. Without even letting him get through his speech, Katie said "YES!"
