Flights to San Miguel

There are two main airports that serve San Miguel de Allende. We recommend flying into: -Querétaro International Airport (QRO), located about one hour from San Miguel, or -León/Guanajuato–Bajío International Airport (BJX), approximately 1.5 hours away. Both airports offer multiple daily nonstop flights from Houston and Dallas. Tip: When booking flights, select Santiago de Querétaro (QRO) or León (BJX) as your destination. Searching for “San Miguel de Allende” will sometimes default to Mexico City.

Airport Transportation

We do not recommend renting a car, as parking can be limited in the city center and San Miguel is highly walkable once you arrive. We recommend arranging a private car service in advance for transportation to and from the airport. Note that WhatsApp should generally be used when texting international numbers directly. Although there are many amazing hotel options in the city, we also encourage our guests to explore home rental options like Airbnb or the private booking sites listed below. When booking, it is best to stay near the Jardíin Allende and Parque Benito Juárez.
