*Make sure to double check your passport's expiration date! It is recommended that you have a passport expiration date six months beyond the date of your scheduled return. *Most places will accept credit cards and either USD or pesos, but it is recommended to carry some small bills for tipping, etc. *The tap water is not safe to drink in San Miguel, but all reputable hotels and restaurants will use filtered water for their ice. *Mexico uses the same outlets as the US, so no need to worry about bringing adapters. *Bring rain gear! September is at the tail end of the rainy season in the Mexican mountains with brief showers in the afternoon. So be prepared and bring a rain jacket or umbrella!
The best way to explore the city is by foot. If you are staying within the city, you can walk just about anywhere (most places are within a 10-15 minute walk from each other or less). That being said, make sure to wear comfy, walkable shoes! The cobblestones in the city are no joke and the sidewalks tend to be on the narrower side. If you prefer not to walk, there are plenty of ubers available and the city's green taxis are safe and reliable (bring cash/small bills if you prefer taxis). Our venue is located on a fairly steep hill, so please plan accordingly whether you’ll be walking or taking an uber/taxi to the wedding.
San Miguel has a pretty mild climate for most of the year. Daytime temperatures are typically in the 70s–80s, while mornings and evenings can be much cooler, often dropping into the mid 50s due to the city’s high elevation. Layers are recommended!
All of our event venues follow a typical San Miguel design that features open patios and areas with some coverage. The wedding will be outside with appropriate tenting and patio coverage for the dinner and reception.
At this time we are only able to accommodate the individuals listed on your invitation. Reach out to Kaitlyn or Cody for any questions!
