Matron of Honor
Heidi's been by my side since we shared our mother's womb 24+ years ago and it's an honor to have her by my side once again for the wedding. We may look different and have vastly different personalities, but we've been best friends our whole lives!
Bridesmaid
Besides Heidi, I've known Jenna the longest. We met at youth group in highschool and became fast friends a few weeks later when we had a sleepover and bonded over dumb boys and a shared love for missions. (We still love sleepovers just as much then as we did now)
Bridesmaid
We first met freshmen year of college, but didn't bond until summer time when we shared nachos at Moes and talked for hours. We've shared dozens of nachos since, including some in the Dominican Republic when we lived and worked there together for a summer. If it weren't for Nancy's persistence, this wedding would never have happened. We love that we both set each other up with our significant others!
Bridesmaid
Mellonee and I went to the same church, but didn't really meet until her and her husband Hunter started leading a small group at their house for 18-25 year olds. After the first small group, Mellonee invited me over the next day to hang out (which also happened to be her birthday). We clicked instantly and talked for 5 hours, and all of our hangouts since tend to be at least that long.
Bridesmaid
We met in Northern Cyprus last year when we were roommates at a 3 month long training. Both of our boyfriends asked for our ring sizes just days apart. Baffled by the fact that they would wait until we were in the middle of no where in a tiny country, we began the hunt to find a jewelry store in Cyprus.
Junior Bridesmaid
Dianna is Wes's little sister and my new sister! We first met via Skype, and then officially met a few months later when she came with her parents to South Carolina for Christmas. She lives in the Dominican Republic so we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, but every time we hang out it's a blast!
Best Man
Not only the best dad in the world but also one of the best friends I ever have had. My dad and I look a lot alike in personality and resemblance. He is my favorite person to argue with and the wisest and most loving man I know. After 25 years of marriage, 3 kids, and 20 years in ministry, he still is my greatest model.
Best Man
From a rocky relationship to best buddies, Dani was born three years after me. He was the kid you would love to have: kind, sociable, always smiling, funny, handsome... When the struggles of teenage years arrived, we put brotherly beef aside and found in each other unconditional friendship and trust that grew stronger and stronger as God worked in our hearts.
Groomsman
If I ever had a lost twin brother, Junior would definitely be it! Though we look nothing alike, we have always shared the same passions, even to this day. Junior and I pursued music (he was the more talented one, though!). We also found ourselves deeply pursuing God and desiring full-time ministry. Today, Junior is the youth pastor at "En Su Presencia" Church of God, Trenton, NJ.
Groomsman
Moi, as we call him, is one of the longest friends I've had! Since three years old we have been in the same school, the same music class, the same soccer team, the same church... and we couldn't be any more different from one another! Moisés is noble, patient, meticulous, attentive, quiet, and loyal. His musical abilities are genius! We love to jam together and think about new ways of making music.
Groomsman
I remember the first day I saw him, the new cool kid in school... I thought to myself "Ugh, another of those..." but I had no clue I was staring at the face of my best friend, a man after God's heart, and one of the most influential people in my life. Rico and I journeyed all through High School together, encouraging and challenging each other to pursue Christ during the hard and temptation-filled teenage years.
Groomsman
Ema and I met in 2009 when our churches worked together to serve an impoverished community in the Dominican Republic. We found we had a lot in common, especially our passion for Scriptures. After many theological debates, "manly" pajama parties, and many ups and downs, our friendship today is a reminder of intentional and committed brotherhood, which never ceases.
Groomsman
This man is the reason all of this is happening! César and I met in seminary in the Dominican Republic. After living with him for a year, I saw the patient servant he was, a model for me and everyone who met him. My Bride (Kaitlin) knew he was the right guy for Nancy, her best friend, and they married not long after. Once Nancy and César met me in South Carolina, two years later, they knew Kaitlin and I were the perfect match. And oh how right they were!
Groomsman
I met Mike after moving to NJ in 2015 at a time when I really needed friendship. We first met at our church, and not long after long conversations following the service turned into weekly Starbucks hangouts, which turned into living with him and his family. I'm incredibly thankful for Mike and thrilled to live this new stage of our lives together.
Flower Girl
Sybbie is Kaitlin's adorable niece and we've already accepted the fact that she's going to steal the show. She loves her 3 pound dog "Ham" and is always asking where her favorite "tía and tío" are.
Flower Girl
Ariella Joy is Wes' youngest cousin. She is indeed full of joy and love, and her spunky personalitiy is bigger than she is.
Ring Bearer
Levi immediately took to Kaitlin for reasons she still can't quite figure out and they've been best buddies ever since. His parents, Hunter and Mellonee, tried convincing Kaitlin to wait 20ish years until Levi was old enough to marry her, but Wes eventually won out.
