we're getting married!

In 2015 Wes was attending seminary and Kaitlin worked at an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. Wes knew of Kaitlin and Kaitlin knew all of Wes's friends, but they never actually met! However, Kaitlin helped set up one of her best friends, Nancy, with one of Wes's good friends, Cesar. Fast forward to 2017. Wes had moved to the US to attend Rutgers University, and Kaitlin was getting ready to go to the Middle East. Neither were looking for a relationship. Wes's aunt and uncle moved from NJ to SC, and his brother Dani started attending college in Greenville. Wes visited his family and invited Nancy and Cesar over to catch up. During dinner, Wes shared his desire to spend his life somewhere in the Middle East. Nancy immediately told him all about Kaitlin and insisted the two had to meet. She then got up and went to the bathroom and texted Kaitlin to tell her all about Wes. While both Wes and Kaitlin agreed the other sounded great, neither were interested in a relationship. It took Nancy 3 months to convince them to talk. Eventually, Kaitlin and Wes skyped. After talking for three hours, Kaitlin hung up and texted Nancy: "We connected so well. I feel like I've known him my whole life." As it turns out, Wes also hung up and texted Cesar, "Bro, I feel like I've known her my whole life!" The rest is history!
