We kindly request our guest be in formal attire, taking into consideration the outdoor venue and limited paved walkways. We recommend midi to long dresses for women and suits for men; all with sensible walking shoes and a light jacket for the October evening. The ceremony itself will take place outdoors under the magical Avenue of Oaks lawn with Cocktail hour and Reception taking place in the semi-enclosed Cotton Dock and patio. We will provide guests with bug spray and fans should they be needed during the evening.
Yes! There is an easily accessible, free parking lot provided on property as well as designated stations for ride-share services. Both are within walking distance to the ceremony, reception and primary venue attractions should you wish to keep a change of anything close by.
We love your little ones, but we kindly ask that our celebration day be adults-only. We hope this allows all guests the chance to relax and enjoy the evening together, while respecting the historic nature of the venue. If you’re traveling with children, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to recommend trusted local babysitting options in the area!
To allow our guests the utmost flexibility in their stay, we have opted not to reserve specific hotel blocks or recommend particular neighborhoods. Rather, we encourage you to explore the diverse options throughout Charleston and its surrounding areas, enabling you to tailor the overall visit to include personal exploration of the city or nearby beaches at your leisure!
Yes, we kindly request that our guests allow the professionals to capture the moment and simply sit back, relax and enjoy it with us.
We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions, just let us know!
