Ceremony

6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens
1235 Long Point Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29429

Think formal with a touch of Southern charm. Ceremony and parts of the reception will take place outdoors, surrounded by moss-draped oaks and marsh views—so please dress accordingly! We suggest shoes comfortable for walking on grass, gravel, or wooden pathways. October in Charleston brings lovely fall weather, but it is typically still rather warm in the evenings.

Guests will be welcomed by a front gate attendant upon arrival to help direct them to the event space where on-site parking and ride-share drop-off areas are available. We kindly ask guests to arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 PM to enjoy access to the beautiful grounds; taking this time to stroll through the breathtaking gardens, explore the historic residences, and take in the sweeping views of the iconic Avenue of Oaks before the celebration begins. As the majority of the event will take place outdoors (in South Carolina), we’ll have bug spray and hand-held fans available to help keep everyone comfortable. If you or a guest needs any accessibility assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to coordinate accommodations to ensure everyone enjoys the day. As one of the oldest working plantations in the country, Boone Hall is rich with history and natural beauty. We ask that guests are respectful of the sobering heritage, and avoid entering restricted areas.

Cocktail Hour with Sunset Marsh Views

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens
Mount Pleasant, SC 29429

Following the ceremony, guests will be welcomed to a cocktail hour featuring a curated selection of wines, local beers, and signature cocktails, paired with an assortment of passed appetizers. Music will set the mood as the sun begins to dip over the marsh, casting golden light across the dock and treetops. You may hear birds settling into the branches and the soft rustle of the breeze through the moss — it’s the perfect moment to pause and soak in the beauty of the Lowcountry. Guests are encouraged to use this time to explore the grounds further at their leisure, or join a special, guided tour of the property, offering the opportunity to learn more about the site's complex past and the experiences of the enslaved people who lived and worked there. Please kindly respect the venue's after-hours policies and the historical significance of these beautiful grounds.

Reception

7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Boone Hall Plantation, Cotton Dock
1235 Long Point Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Following the ceremony and cocktail hour, we invite you to join us for a joyful evening of food, drinks, and dancing at the Cotton Dock—a gorgeous open-air venue perched right on the marsh at Boone Hall. We’ll be celebrating with an oyster roast, Lowcountry boil, and other Southern favorites that pair perfectly with the waterfront breeze and golden October light. The open bar will be flowing, and we’ll have live music to keep the good vibes going all night. Our connection to Boone Hall runs deep, stemming from our very first visit to its annual oyster roast years ago. That's where we discovered mignonette sauce, which quickly became a signature part of our oyster experiences. It's a tradition we've lovingly continued, and one we're thrilled to share with you at our wedding. Live music will fill the air as heartfelt toasts are shared, laughter flows, and the evening unfolds in a setting as unforgettable as the moment itself!
