Kaitlin was running a fundraising event for Children's Hospital Colorado, where 100's of volunteers show up in shifts to help answer phones and raise money #ForTheKids. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, Greg showed up for his 7a shift, claiming a seat in the front row. He immediately introduced himself to all the staff members, taking a particular interest in Kaitlin. Behind-the-scenes, Kaitlin just so happened to have her eye on this charming volunteer as well, impressed by his confidence and smile. Hours after his designated shift ended, and many trips to the staff table to visit Kaitlin later, he finally asked for "her help" to make a donation of his own. One thing was certain, Kaitlin did not want this to be the last time she saw the man that stole her attention the past few hours. She accompanied her goodbye with her business card, which Greg responded with "You beat me to the punch..." And the rest, is history <3
After months (years...) of contemplation, Greg did a brave thing. Greg left his corporate job as an electrical engineer to pursue his passions in photography and residential design. To celebrate the end of the era, Kaitlin & Greg planned a week-long adventure camping their way through Utah's National Parks. It danced across Kait's mind that this would be the perfect place for a proposal! In reality, Greg had so much going on so there was no reason to entertain the idea...needless Kaitlin was clueless to the plans. The first leg of the trip was a trip up to Craig, CO where Greg lived for two years to enjoy time with his friends and visit some old stomping grounds. After a full day at a friends horse ranch and dinner with everyone, Kait was ready to put on the "comfies" and wind down from the day, but Greg insisted on a drive to an overlook the two of them had visited during Kait's first visit up to Craig 2 years prior. After some slight huffing and puffing, Kait agreed to join as long as she could crack a White Claw and put on her "stocks & socks". After ~15 seconds of enjoying the scenery, with barely any light left in the sky, Kait turned around to find Greg pulling the promise of forever out of his pocket and asking her the most important question. After some hysterical tears and beautiful words, Kait said yes!
