Vegas in January

While Vegas doesn't get terribly cold in January (Average high of 59 F/15 C and average low of 28 F/ -2 C). Since the ceremony is taking place outside in a State Park, we would recommend bringing your heavy jackets.

Hotel recommendation and guidelines

There are many options to stay either in Vegas Downtown or the Vegas Strip (where most of the big casinos are). Downtown would be our recommendation as you will be within a mile radius of the reception venue so will save money on Ubers. But, the Strip is also not far away, just make sure you factor in the traffic when traveling for the shuttle. A lot of Hotels in Vegas levy 'Resort fees' on top of the room rent so checkout for that. Google will show you really low rates for some hotels only to realize on the booking page that the 'Resort fee' is almost the same as the room charge. In some cases you can try to get the resort fee waived. You can also look at the big hotel chains and book directly with their websites as well or if you have loyalty rewards, use the points as those are exempt from resort fees.

1. Shuttle pickup for ceremony

Shuttle will leave from the Sonic Temple (the reception venue) going to Valley of Fire. Sonic temple address: 919 E Bonneville Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101

2. Ceremony at Valley of Fire State Park

January 20th, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM The ceremony will take place at the 'Seven Sisters' area at Valley of Fire State Park. If you're taking the shuttle we're providing, it will take you back to the reception venue. Click on the 'view' button to open in Google Maps.

3. Shuttle from ceremony venue to reception

January 20, 2024 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The shuttle will drop you back to Sonic Temple (the reception venue) in downtown.
