Our first date was at a coffee shop. Kaitlin canceled the first date because of a stupid pharmacology test and we rescheduled. Abhinav chose a coffee shop in the middle of a bunch of warehouses in Salt Lake. Kaitlin though she was going to get murdered because of the sketchy location. The coffee shop was very cute and we bonded over our mutual love of movie scores. Spotify wrapped had just come out and soundtrack was both of our most listened to category.

Kaitlin had always joked that she was going to propose to Abhinav with a ring pop, and on one snowy April day, she did it. Kaitlin and Abhinav were sitting on the couch together with their beloved cat Pranpran. It was after dinner, there was a big snow storm and it was beautiful outside. Kaitlin had planned on proposing to Abhinav a week before the big ring pop proposal but the timing had not worked out. On this cozy night with the family watching the storm together Kaitlin felt it was the right time and popped the big question.

In April 2023, Abhinav was thinking about visiting his parents in India, Kate thought it would be a wild and crazy India if she goes with him. In May, she embarked upon her first trip to India, something she had wished for a long time. One of the places on their visit list was Udaipur, the city of lakes. Udaipur is a very romantic city, with old palaces along the lakes that been converted to hotels. Kate wanted to see the city, and wanted to take pre-wedding pictures. On one evening, she got ready and asked Abhinav to get ready too. Little did she know that he had a ring for her! He proposed to her in one of the most romantic cities in the world, with the full assurance that she will say yes (see proposal part 1).
