Flight

Flying to Beacon, NY

If you’re flying in for the wedding, we recommend looking at flights into any of the major New York City airports: JFK (John F. Kennedy), LGA (LaGuardia), or EWR (Newark Liberty). All are roughly 1.5–2 hours from Beacon by car or train. For a more direct option, you can also check flights into Stewart Airport (SWF) in Newburgh, which is just 20 minutes from Beacon. We suggest comparing all options to see what works best for your travel plans.

Flying from Des Moines, Iowa

If you're flying in for our wedding, the most frequent nonstop flights from Des Moines (DSM) arrive at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Newark Liberty (EWR). Delta and American offer service into LGA up to about 3 times weekly, while Allegiant flies from DSM to Newark around 3 times per week, and is currently known to offer the most affordable fares on that route. Between these two, LaGuardia typically has more flight frequency overall, making it the easiest option for landing in the city. We suggest comparing both LGA and EWR to find the best schedule and price for your travel dates.

Train

Beacon on Metro-North Railroad

If you're coming from New York City, you can catch the Metro‑North Hudson Line at Grand Central Terminal, which runs direct to Beacon approximately once each hour, every day. The ride is hassle‑free and takes roughly 1 hour 25 minutes, depending on whether it's peak or off‑peak time, with fares ranging from $15 to $24. Beacon’s station is fully accessible and has ticket machines on site—no need to book ahead. Once you arrive in Beacon, you’ll be just a short taxi or Uber/Lyft away from the below hotels. It’s a scenic, stress‑free way to travel!
