Maid of Honor
Chelsea Erin has had my 6 since the diaper days. She is this badass Swiss army knife for all of life's peaks and valleys and can make me belly laugh during the crummiest of days. And has forgiven me for breaking her arm that one time. Like everything wonderful in my life, Chelsea played a major role in Brian and my's story since day one.
Best Man
Bedrock friendship, practically a brother. Through the trials of elementary school, along the banks of the Cahaba and onto the streets of Seoul, Brett and I have forged a friendship that extends the majority of our lives.
Maid of Honor
Haley Morgan and I have shared a home address, a closet and last name for as long as she can remember. We navigated most of our childhood driving down back roads to country music with chai lattes in hand and talking about life during radio ads. Haley is the fastest sprint buddy, loyal copilot and kindest, lovable baby sister a girl could ask for.
Groomsman
Our friendship was forged from Frau Lucas' German classes back in high school, countless late nights with Bonkers the Cat while sipping his Dad's coffee. It has since been an unstoppable force over the past decade despite his Auburn roots and our geographical distance.
Bridesmaid
We moved from Pennsylvania to Colorado around the same time, climbing 14,000 ft mountains together to form a friendship stronger than the rocks we hiked. If missing, you can probably find me wild flower spotting among tall Aspens and rocky crags with my favorite mountain mamacita.
Groomsman
Forrest and I met in gym class our freshman year of high school where he has always had my six through a decade journeying through life. Forrest is the primary reason that I joined the Army which ultimately resulted in my path crossing with Kait in Colorado Springs.
Bridesmaid
As my college team's athletic trainer, Lainie stood in for my parents during various events as a family member until she became one. Through the ebb and flow of life, I've been able to lean on Lainie Lou's sound big sister advice.
Groomsman
Like all good brotherly memories, this one starts during a road trip to San Antonio in 1995. I managed to break his toe during a high speed indoor foot chase over his favorite pillow. Tim has since forgiven me after almost two decades later. Now he's continuing the dream in Colorado as Kait and I live vicariously through him.
Bridesmaid
We've been mistaken as one another since elementary school, maybe because of our similar appearance but probably because we were inseparable growing up. From third grade to the 333rd century, she's my girl.
Groomsman
We shared a common interest - mine in Kait and his in Kait's wellbeing. After making it completely clear and agreeing upon the consequences of screwing it up with Kait, Jameson has accepted me into the circle of trust - The Mitchell crew.
Bridesmaid
On and off the turf, Morgan has been part of my starting line-up since freshmen field hockey preseason. As my college roommate and teammate, Mo knows how to make even running repeats in sweltering heat fun. She's truly one in a million.
Groomsman
One of my earliest memories of my brother and I was during his personal train up for the Air Force. Mike was putting in countless miles a day solely listening to military cadences with his Walkman cassette player. I tried to join, but could rarely endure the distance. So I often borrowed his Walkman to run like him and listen to those same cadences. I can still hear it in my head to this day... One may ponder if those early events influenced my decision to join the Army, ultimately living in Colorado and meeting Kaitlan? I'd like to think so.
