FAQs

Question

When is your new wedding date?

Answer

Friday September 3, 2021

Question

How will COVID impact the event?

Answer

As we have all seen over the last year this is an ever evolving situation! Maine has lifted all travel restrictions as well as capacity limits and physical distancing requirements for public indoor and outdoor gatherings, so currently proceeding as planned (as of June 16, 2021). We are hoping to have an event where all guests are fully vaccinated, so we strongly encourage you to get that shot(s)! We ask that any guests not vaccinated wear face coverings and maintain social distancing during our event to protect everyone. Your health and safety are the top priority so we will adjust our plans accordingly and send out any updates as we get closer to the event.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Feel free to RSVP through this website anytime. We will also send out formal invitations a few months before the wedding so you can RSVP at that time as well.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have booked a room block at Hampton Inn Oxford hotel, only a few rooms are left unfortunately. The Oxford Casino Hotel is not allowing room blocks for 2021, but they have reopened so contact hotel directly to book room if interested. Feel free to check the travel section for more information.

Question

I am staying in the cabins, what do I need to bring?

Answer

We will provide sheets, 1 blanket and 1 pillow per person. Please plan to bring toiletries, bath towel, and beach towel. Make sure to pack clothes for the weekend. We realize the cabins are not a traditional wedding stay location, but we are very excited about the idea of having many of our closest friends and family staying together on this beautiful property so feel free to reach out to us directly if you have additional questions!

Question

What airport should we fly in to?

Answer

Portland is the closest airport. Please see travel section for more information!

Question

Transportation from airport

Answer

We have heard that rental cars are booking up fast, especially at Portland airport! We did reach out to Maine Limo and recommend visiting the "Travel" section of our website for more information on this option.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony/reception?

Answer

Formal attire, please no jeans or shorts. The ceremony will take place on the lawn so you may want to skip the stilettos heels!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We absolutely love children but we're requesting that the wedding ceremony / reception on Friday September 3rd is a kid-free evening. We will have an option for childcare on site for all the new babies, <1 year old, joining us in 2021, please reach out if interested. However, on Saturday if it makes it easier for you to join, they would be welcome at the camp.

Question

Do you have suggestions for child care?

Answer

Our planner highly recommended Portland Nannies Inc for any guest that needs childcare for the weekend. We have reached out to them and they promptly responded back that they would love to help! We are planning to have childcare on site for the ceremony/reception on Friday Sept 3 for all the new babies, <1 year old, joining us in 2021- please reach out to us if interested (there will be a cost for this service). For those children > 1 year old we asked that you reach out to Portland Nannies directly if interested in setting up services. Here is there website: https://www.portlandnannies.com/info-for-families/nanny-services/

Question

Will there be transportation for the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will have ONE shuttle leaving from the Hampton Inn at 4:00pm and then Oxford Casino Hotel at 4:15pm on Friday September 3, this will be the only time so plan accordingly. There will be transportation back to the Hampton Inn Oxford and Oxford Casino hotels from the wedding on Friday evening at 9pm, 11pm, and 12am. Oxford is a small town and does not have Uber or Lyft, to our knowledge. The hotels may have information for taxi's if needed. We do not currently have transportation planned for the rest of the weekend so please plan accordingly.

Question

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Answer

Not to worry, the camp has an indoor location for the ceremony if needed!

Question

What are the plans for Saturday at the camp?

Answer

We are planning to have a casual brunch in the morning, followed by a day hanging by the lake and enjoying the camp amenities (including: canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, baseball field, basketball court, and tennis court). Saturday evening plans are still in the works but will have a casual dinner and possible evening show! We hope you will join us to continue the celebration! (Don't worry if the weather does not cooperate there are plenty of indoor gathering spots at the camp- cards anyone?)

Question

What is the dress code for the Saturday activities?

Answer

Casual- bring your bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, sun glasses, and sneakers! We have access to the lake, tennis courts, basketball courts and baseball fields, so plan accordingly if you want to take part in any of these activities. Feel free to bring a change of casual clothes for dinner and evening activities. The camp has additional shower cabins that you are welcome to use even if you are not staying on the property.

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Dressy casual

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is there parking at the venue (Kamp Kohut)?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot to the right just before entering the camp. You are welcome to park here throughout the weekend.

Question
