How far is Grand Rapids from Chicago?
Answer
Depending on traffic and your exact location, we estimate 3 hours from Chicago. Please note that Grand Rapids is Eastern Standard Time. If your are coming from Chicago, you will lose 1 hour during travel.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony at The Rutledge starts at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. We ask all guests to arrive as early as 3:45 pm to find a seat.

Are kids welcome?

We love your kids, but Jack will be the only kid celebrating with us!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, there are several parking options located in Grand Rapids. We suggest the parking garage located behind the Canopy Hotel or behind The Rutledge. Most street parking is free on the weekends in downtown Grand Rapids.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Heck yeah! Semi-Formal attire is requested. Dust off those dancing shoes.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Our wedding venue and suggested hotel options in Grand Rapids are all within walking distance from our wedding venue. Transportation is not provided. Please provide extra time as Uber and Lyft drivers are limited in the Grand Rapids area.

What is the plan for Saturday?
Answer
We invite all guests to an informal bar crawl on Saturday at 1:00 pm, However, feel free to check out all of the amazing state parks, local breweries, art scenes, and other attractions in Grand Rapids on your own. The city has something to offer everyone. More information can be found under the " Things To Do" section.
