The night Dalton & Kailey shared their first kiss, Kailey had gotten dinner & drinks with her sister, Courtney. After enjoying a glass of wine and a flatbread, they said their farewells, and Kailey headed to Dalton's apartment. They kissed, and Dalton pulled away to ask, "Did you eat pizza?" Since then it's been their inside joke, commemorated by bracelet charms and stuffed animals over the years. It's also the reason they are choosing to serve pizza at the wedding!

For those of you who may not know, Dalton & Kailey worked together for more than two years. Next door to the office was a coffee shop called Community Matters. They became regulars and spent many mornings and afternoons frequenting the shop, with a short walk there and back filled with conversation. It became "their place." Fast forward to 2024, and Dalton takes Kailey for a day trip to Charlotte. On their way home, they decide to stop for a coffee at Community Matters. The shop was unfortunately closed, but Dalton insisted on walking to the courtyard behind the building (on the COLDEST DAY of winter so far!). For context, this same courtyard is where they decided to "give it a shot" in the summer of 2021. There, in one of their most special places, Dalton proposed. To Kailey's surprise, two of his co-workers (shoutout to Kolby & Alex!) were hiding to take pictures and video the moment.
