Even though La Paz is considered one of the cleaner and more developed cities in Baja California Sur, the municipal tap water is typically not treated to a standard for drinking by visitors. Most higher-end hotels (Baja Club Hotel included) and restaurants in La Paz provide safe, filtered water and ice. But do be aware of the tap water when brushing your teeth and showering!
