Fishing on the Crystal River

Fishing in Colorado is an experience everyone should try, and Grant and Kaila's favorite thing to do together. Hire a guide from town, rent equipment and buy a pass to fish on private waters behind the hotel, or fish on public waters nearby. The hotel offers an $80 day pass to fish on their private section of water- you can speak to the hotel manager for more info! You will need a CO fishing license and can find that at a local fly shop or at the website below.

Go for a hike

There are tons of hikes nearby- google some in the area or check out the Redstone Inn brochure from check in for recommendations. Coal Creek Canyon is an easy hike nearby. The lovely ladies at the Redstone Inn front desk are also happy to recommend hikes in the area. (Don't forget about the altitude and make sure to take it easy if you're just arriving in Redstone)

Play Pickleball or Tennis

The Redstone Inn has equipment available for tennis or pickleball and courts right in the backyard!

Swim in the pool

The Redstone Inn has a pool and hot tub, so don't forget your bathing suit!

Play games in the game room

The basement of the Redstone Inn has a game room. We will bring lots of quarters for air hockey, racing games, pool, and more!

Read a book in the library or by the fireplace

Check out the Redstone Inn library or the giant fireplace in the lobby and relax with a coffee and a book!

Check out the nearby mountain towns

Carbondale is a small mountain town 20 minutes from Redstone. Check out Bonfire Coffee for coffee and snack. Aspen is about 45 minutes. Woody Creek Tavern is where Hunter S. Thompson used to hang out. Basalt is about 30 minutes from Redstone. It is small but awesome. Try Heather's for some dinner out. Glenwood Springs is 40 minutes away. You will pass through Glenwood on the way to the hotel. You will notice a smell as you go through- they are known for their hot springs in town!

Mountain biking

There are some awesome mountain biking trails near the hotel. Ask the concierge for recommendations!

White water rafting

If you are looking for a more wild CO adventure, try some white water rafting in Glenwood Springs or Aspen.

Avalanche Ranch Hot Springs

Avalanche Ranch is an 8 minute drive from the hotel and has some awesome hot springs. It is recommended that you book at least a few weeks in advance because they fill up fast.

Check out the town of Redstone

The town of Redstone is small but so awesome. There are fun shops to explore just a short walk from the hotel. The Redstone General Store has lots of items you may need, yummy snacks, and coffee. The Redstone Art Gallery and Joy and Wylde is where our welcome party will be and is an amazing shop.
