Watkins Glen State Park- South Entrance
Take an extra day to explore the park! Hike trails that lead through waterfalls and overlooking the gorges in the fall foliage.
Seneca Lake Wine Trail
The Finger Lakes are best known as wine country. There are 35 vineyards around Seneca Lake alone! The region is best known for Riesling and Pinot Noir. Pick a vineyard on a whim on your drive to the venue or do a little research ahead of time to be sure to find a new favorite.
Graft Wine + Cider Bar
One of the cutest places in Watkins Glen we've found to grab a drink! While you can find wineries and breweries surrounding the Lake, this is a great choice for those staying close to the venue looking for something walking distance.
Long Acre Farms
Make all of your fall dreams come true. Wagon rides, a jumping pillow, petting zoo, and pumpkins! Spend the day getting lost in the amazing maize maze, New York's longest running and most impressive corn maze. Great for kids of all ages.
Radio Social
A great local place to hang out if you’re staying in Rochester! Bowling, giant Jenga, food, and drinks in a modern retro style. 11/10 will boost your Instagram game.
Genesee Beer Brewery
A true Rochester staple. A great spot for a beer, a bite, and a view of High Falls.
The Strong National Museum of Play
Strong is a must if you're visiting with kiddos, or are just a kid at heart! Strong National Museaum of Play has it all, from the fan favorite mini-Wegmans, to the butterfly exhibit and the toy hall of fame, there's something for everyone. Strong is great sun or shine, being largely indoors. If this is up your alley, check out the planetarium and RMSC too!
Memorial Art Gallery
One of the bride's absolute favorites! The gallery's collection offers a wide breadth of work ranging from Degas and Monet to medieval works and mummies. If you're looking for more of Rochester's home art scene, check out Craft Company Six (across the street), Little Button Craft, Ritual Clay Co., or even check out a class at Rochester Brainery. Be sure to keep an eye out for work by local artists and friends of the bride Stefan Fella and Megan Zweigle of Unstrung Studios in local shops!
George Eastman Museum
The Eastman Museum is a favorite of the bride and a great place for Rochester and photography history alike. Learn about the wonderful father of Kodak by exploring his story through his estate. Self guided tours are available at no additional cost. If this is up your alley, you should also check out the Susan B Anthony House!
Susan B. Anthony House
Explore the home of one of America's most beloved feminists and civil rights leaders! Staff guided tours are a history lover's treat and included with admission. See the living room where Susan B. Anthony was arrested for voting as a woman, and learn about her friendship to fellow Rochestarian Frederik Douglass.
Niagara Falls
One of the world wonders close enough for a day trip. If you're not looking to cross the border, there are stunning views state side, but if you're planning to see museums, casinos, and maid of the mist, be sure to pack your passport!
