Love sprouted for these two in April of 2018 in Atlanta, GA. Chris had moved down from Pittsburgh, where he was working in the tv, film and sports entertainment industry. Kaelyn was building her career in sales, operations and recruiting; while growing a local tech startup. After "matching" in 2016, both kept a watchful eye on one another following their connection. However never ended up meeting in person. Until 2018, when they ran into each other - twice - at the same Braves bar, Live at The Battery. Upon their second meeting, Chris asked her out, not giving her any clues or details as to what they would be doing, or where they would go for their first date. The night arrived with Chris at her door with a bag of wine in each hand, and a date planned at "Painting with a Twist." Naturally upon arrival, these two were the loudest and latest to arrive - but without a doubt, having the most fun. Two apron-clad grown kindergartners at their painting stations fueled by butterflies and bottles of Sonoma Chardonnay. Chris' lovable and caring soul, blinding million-dollar smile and bulging biceps had Kaelyn swooning from the gate. Her refreshing humor and wit took him for a spin, wildly impressed him with her movie acumen, while captivating him with eyes that "left him needing more." While the wine poured, they laughed and bonded over their love of family, their faith, fitness and fried chicken sandwiches. Little did they know they were painting the beginning of their beautiful love story. When their Uber driver dropped them off following their date, he asked them how long they had both been married. The rest is history!
October 2nd, 2022. It was a beautiful, clear fall evening in downtown Atlanta. Following cocktails with friends, Chris grabbed tickets to the last ride on the SkyView, a giant ferris wheel downtown with incredible views of the city. After taking a few trips around, they reached the very top, where the wheel stopped with a beautiful 360 degree view of the skyline. While stopped, Chris pointed out to her something ‘curious’ below the Olympic rings in Centennial Park. After much searching, her eyes fell upon a 22-foot sign that read “Will You Marry Me?" After processing what was happening, Kaelyn turned around to Chris on one knee grinning ear to ear with the most beautiful ring in his hand. "I can’t wait any longer." You know her answer!
