And here's how Jeremy proposed to Sharon...
OPENING SCENE: Split screen of SHARON and JEREMY being interviewed separately. Both are seated on cozy chairs with soft lighting, speaking directly to the camera. SHARON: "It was a Sunday night. I remember because I had to work the next day at this preschool, which actually fired me. I couldn't go to sleep, so I logged onto Tinder." JEREMY: "I wasn’t looking for anything serious at the time. I mean, who meets their soulmate on Tinder? But then I came across a picture of this blonde girl tanning in the Israeli desert, and I thought, I gotta meet her." SHARON: "I swiped right because I liked the picture of him in a gray suit." JEREMY: "It was my LinkedIn photo." SHARON: "We texted all week. The following weekend, it was the University of Miami versus Florida State game. My best friends, Juliette and Dani, came to visit me." JEREMY: "My boys came to visit me, so I took them out to experience the Tallahassee bar life." SHARON: "I wanted the first time we met in person to be somewhere romantic." JEREMY: "So I told her to meet me at McDonald's." CUT TO: SHARON and JEREMY standing inside a McDonald's, awkwardly shaking hands. SHARON: “He was cute, but I was too shy to look him in the eyes. He had a deep voice and drove a scooter. He made me laugh a lot. He still does." JEREMY: “She was smart, funny, and had this thing where she’d squint at me like she was trying to figure me out. I thought, Yeah, I could stick around for that.” SCENE: JEREMY sitting in his apartment in Atlanta, looking at his phone. SHARON walking around New York City, bundled up in a coat, also on her phone. JEREMY: “We did long-distance for four years. Atlanta to New York. Atlanta to Boston. It’s not exactly next door, but Sharon was worth it.” SHARON: “We made it work. There were late-night calls, early-morning texts, and a lot of creative excuses to visit each other. I mean, I didn’t need to see the Atlanta Botanical Garden twice or the Coca-Cola museum three times, but love makes you do things.” JEREMY: "But in 2020, she moved into my apartment in Atlanta." SHARON: "I never went back to Boston." JEREMY: "Then she convinced me to get a pup." SHARON: "We found him on Craigslist." JEREMY: "And then she convinced me to move to LA." SHARON: "The Hollywood industry really is out there, you know? And I always wanted to be a writer. He's always been super supportive." SCENE: JEREMY and SHARON arrive at their 1930s apartment in Beverly Hills. Boxes are everywhere, as ZOHAN, their dog, sits in the middle of the chaos. JEREMY (to the camera): “Moving to LA felt like the next big step. I mean, don’t get me wrong, LA isn’t perfect—too much traffic, and don’t get me started on the politics—but Sharon wanted to be here, and wherever she is, that’s where I want to be.” SHARON (to the camera): “By then, we knew. This was it. He was it. Even if he insisted on calling Zohan his dog when we both know Zohan likes me better. LA started to grow on us, so I kept wondering when he was going to pop the question. I waited eight years for him to ask me to marry him.” JEREMY (to the camera): "I wanted to give her the proposal of her dreams." SHARON (to the camera): "He rented out a whole movie theater for me. It was perfect." JEREMY (to the camera): "Then she convinced me to do the wedding in Argentina." SHARON (to the camera): "So we're getting married on August 17th, in Buenos Aires." JEREMY (to the camera): "What can I say. She's very convincing."
