Maid of Honor
Hey, my name is Chantall! When I’m not traveling, you can usually find me playing my favorite video game or curled up with a great novel. Today, I want to talk about my younger cousin, Kadisha, whom I am incredibly proud of. When Kadisha moved to the U.S. in 2016, our bond grew even stronger. I did my best to show her around, help her settle in, and be there as she found her footing. We shared so many laughs during that time. including me letting her practice driving my car while she worked on getting her license… even after she took a curve at 35 miles per hour 😂. Somehow, we survived, and those moments became some of my favorite memories with her. Kadisha’s strength, determination, and loving heart shine through in everything she does. Watching her grow into the woman she is today has been such a joy. Congratulations on finding your person, cuz, you deserve all the love, happiness, and beautiful moments this next chapter brings. 💕

If I had to use one word to describe my younger brother, Ibn, it would be stoic. Ibn is a man who says what he means and stands firmly on it. He’s a man of honor and principle. Once, my late uncle told me a story about Ibn that perfectly captures who he is. When his little sister was being harassed by some local men, Ibn stepped in without hesitation. He confronted them to defend her, and when a fight broke out, he stood his ground. He didn’t run. He didn’t fold. He gave as good as he got, even when the odds were against him. That’s the kind of man Ibn is. He’s a devoted brother, strong in his faith, and a loyal friend. And today, he steps into a new role as a husband with that same strength, integrity, and greatness. I do not doubt that the love, protection, and honor he’s always shown to his family will now be poured into his marriage. I couldn’t be prouder of you, my brother.

Hi, my name is Felisha, and I met Kadisha in high school. From that moment on, their friendship only grew stronger. They bonded over a shared love of science, anime, and countless hours of conversations about movies and TV shows. What began as a simple connection became a lifelong friendship built on trust, laughter, and genuine care. Over the years, Kadisha has been there through thick and thin, offering support, encouragement, and unwavering loyalty. A friend like this is rare: genuine, kind, and someone who makes you feel like you truly belong. I cherish our shared memories, embrace the “crazy antics,” and cannot imagine life without this friendship. I look forward to standing by your side and supporting you through every step of this special journey, with excitement and gratitude.

Over the course of our lives, Ibn and I have been incredibly close. Being less than two years apart, we spent much of our childhood and young adulthood side by side through school, growing up, and learning life together. In many ways, you became the big brother, carrying on our late father’s example by always putting family first wherever life takes you, guided as well by the wisdom of our mother and the lessons she taught us about navigating life in real time. Now you’re marrying a woman who truly mirrors your energy and brings even more life out of you. Watching you build a life grounded in integrity, humility, and service to the people you love has always seemed effortless on the surface, though I know it’s rooted in deep character. I’m grateful to be among those you love, and I know the life you and Kadisha are building together will be everything you’ve dreamed of and more. Congratulations to you both.

Hi, I am Bella, and Kadisha, and I met at Amazon, just a couple of months after she started. I joined the company, and our friendship took off from the moment we bonded over night shifts, sleep deprivation, and running purely on caffeine. Those late nights turned into an incredible friendship filled with laughs, support, and shared adventures. Since then, we’ve upgraded to girls’ trips, lunch dates, hikes, and so many memorable moments. She even met my adorable fur baby, Theo, and spent time with each other's family. Through it all, Kadisha’s kindness, energy, and love for the people around her shine through. I couldn’t be happier to stand by her side as she begins this next chapter, and I feel so lucky to call her my friend.

My name is Tariq, and I grew up with Ibn in Texas. Ibn is truly the heartbeat of our family, quietly wise, deeply thoughtful, and always present with a steady word or a listening ear. He remembers every birthday, every favorite dish, and even the smallest details from a story you told him once, because people genuinely matter to him. Caring isn’t loud for Ibn. It shows up in the way he checks in, fixes what’s broken without being asked, and makes sure everyone around him feels supported and seen. You don’t have to share his last name to feel like family; he has a rare gift of making people feel like they belong. Seeing the love and partnership he shares with Kadisha makes perfect sense to those of us who know him best. They are fortunate to have found each other, and I couldn’t be happier to celebrate the life they’re building together.

Hi all! I’m Amel. I first met Kadisha when I started working at Amazon. She was introduced to me as the manager I would be learning from on the night shift. My creative introduction was, “Hi, my name is Amel… you know, like Caramel!” She looked at me so confused, lol. From that moment on, Kadisha has been an incredible mentor, a true friend, and just an amazing person to have in your life. She later told me she was a little skeptical about working with me at first, worried I might be too hyper, but with Kadisha, I can always be myself. Plus, she has this amazing way of letting me know when I need to chill out just by her expression, which I secretly love. Over the years, we’ve shared so many special memories, from fun girls’ trips to celebrating together during my bachelorette weekend. I’m so grateful to have her in my life. Aside from work, I love music and traveling, and I am beyond excited to be celebrating Kadisha and Ibn on their special day!

My name is Anwar, and I am Ibn’s youngest brother. Ibn is a loving, family-oriented person who always puts his family first. Throughout my college years, he constantly checked on me, motivated me, visited when he could, and supported me in every way as I worked toward graduation. He is always present for family events and for the kids, never missing an opportunity to show up. Ibn is also disciplined and committed to his dreams one clear example is how he pursued his passion for acting alongside his career and found success through hard work and dedication. Most importantly, he is deeply loving and supportive of Kadesha and her family. I am incredibly proud of Ibn and Kadesha as they begin this new chapter together.

Hey, I’m Danae, the bride’s cousin! We go way back to 1999… mostly because that’s when I made my debut, lol. We grew up together in Jamaica. Growing up, she was always there for me, helping me with homework, giving advice, and even letting me borrow her outfits (sometimes I’d sneakily ask my aunt when she said no because I really wanted that outfit!). I also remember our grandmother buying us matching outfits… which, of course, we didn’t always appreciate at the time, but now those memories are priceless. The first time I visited Kadisha in the States, she and Ibn were so welcoming. They drove me everywhere, helped me shop, and shared so many laughs—because as you can tell, we both love fashion! I love brunch, travel, and a great playlist, and I can’t wait to celebrate Kadisha and Ibn on their special day!

Hello, I’m Justin, Ibn’s younger brother. I’m truly happy for you, Ibn. More than anything, I want to see you happy. You’ve always been a good brother, and I know you’ll be an amazing husband and father. Some of my favorite memories are from when we explored New York City together after we both moved back to the States. Those were such fun times, and it meant so much to have you around and really get to bond. Looking back now, moving here for college and to spend time with Mom was one of the best decisions you could’ve made because it led you to Kadisha. Kadisha is lucky to have you, and I know without a doubt that you’ll always be there for her, no matter what life brings. Seeing the love, commitment, and support you show her makes me proud to call you my brother. I’m so excited to watch you both build a beautiful life together.

Hi, I’m Tiffany! I work in healthcare, but when I’m not caring for others, you’ll probably find me behind a camera, capturing life’s little moments. I’m honored to be one of the bride’s bridesmaids and even more proud to call her my cousin. We’re both straight from the yard, aka Jamaica. Even though we didn’t grow up together and life took us in different directions for a while, everything changed when Kadisha moved to the States. When we reconnected, it felt like no time had passed. From celebrating birthdays to going on girls’ trips, laughing until our sides hurt, and being there for each other through tears and real-life moments, our bond grew into something truly special. What started as a family connection turned into a genuine friendship filled with love, support, and unforgettable memories. I’m so grateful for the relationship we’ve built, and it means the world to stand beside Kadisha as she steps into this beautiful new chapter with Ibn.

My name is Allan Nicome, and I’m a former classmate of Ibn from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I first met Ibn at a college fair before I even applied, and his passion for computer science and his experience at the school played a major role in my decision to attend. We went on to share several challenging classes and countless late nights brainstorming projects, driven by a genuine love for learning. Ibn’s dedication and perseverance motivated me to push through even the toughest moments. Beyond academics, we bonded over our shared Trinidadian background and love of superhero movies. We both graduated, and the rest is history. Today, I’m honored to congratulate Ibn and Kadisha on this incredible milestone. Congratulations to you both!

Hello everyone, I’m Danielle. Between my work at Kean University, my love of travel, and my exploration of new culinary experiences, life is full of joy. Growing up, Kadisha and I would play together as kids back home, and now, as adults, we talk about our futures and the dreams we hope to achieve. Over the years, we’ve been on countless trips together with our other cousins, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve argued, and we’ve made up. Through it all, we’ve grown closer than family and become genuine friends. Being part of Kadisha’s wedding celebration is a heartfelt privilege, and I am truly grateful to witness and partake in such a memorable day.

Hello, I’m Shandi-Ann. I work in healthcare and have a deep passion for caring for others. Outside of work, I love spending time in the kitchen, creating meals that bring people together. I’m a proud mother of three wonderful boys and am truly honored to celebrate my beautiful cousin, the bride-to-be, as she begins this new chapter of her life. I have known Aziza (Kadisha) since her birth, and I am so proud of the intelligent, funny, and determined woman she has grown into. It’s so funny, she used to babysit my kids and even called them her babies… that is, until they got a little older and started running around, then she was like, “Not today!” I also taught her how to play netball and tried to teach her how to dance… We’ll see if she learned those skills at the wedding! Kadisha, I am so happy for you and Ibn. Congratulations to both of you on this beautiful journey together. I know you will make an amazing team, and I can’t wait to see all the love and happiness that lies ahead in your future!
