Should we bring a car?

Answer

Block Island is walkable, bike-able, and taxis & rentals are easy! Bringing a car is great if you need it for accessibility or heavy luggage, but plan well in advance and book early. Otherwise, it’s often easier to walk on with bags and use local transport.

Can I bring luggage on the ferry?

Yes! Ferries are very luggage-friendly. You can carry on bags, strollers, beach gear, etc.

June–September is gorgeous, with temps in the 70s–80s. It can get breezy at night, so pack a light jacket or sweater!

Yes! Block Island is perfect for a little vacation. Hike, bike, beach, kayak- or relax with ocean views there is plenty to do on the island.
