Planning your trip

We recommend booking your flights and finding your accommodations as soon as possible. Most Europeans plan their vacations well in advance, so availability will be slim the closer and closer we get to June. High season in Dubrovnik is July - September. We will be arriving Saturday, June 4th and staying for the entire week. We encourage you to do the same and join us for several organized events throughout the week leading up to the wedding (details to come). Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. The wedding will be outdoors and masking will be optional. We will advise if this changes. Preporučujemo da obezbjedite putovanje i pronađete smještaj što je prije moguće. Visoka sezona u Dubrovniku je Juli - September. Mi stižemo u Dubrovnik u subotu 4. Juni i ostajemo cijelu sedmicu. Bilo bi nam drago da učinite isto i pridružite nam se na nekoliko organiziranih događaja tijekom sedmice prije vjenčanja (detalji dolaze). Ne ustručavajte se obratiti nam se sa bilo kakvim pitanjima. Vjenčanje će biti na otvorenom, a maskiranje će biti neobavezno. Savjetovati ćemo ako se to promijeni. Rental Car

RENTING A CAR

The best way to get around Dubrovnik is on foot. In fact, the entire historic center is only open to pedestrians. It's for this reason that we don't recommend renting a car. If you are staying outside of Old Town, either in a vacation rental or hotel, and want the freedom of having a car, make sure parking is included. Please keep in mind that there is limited parking in and around Old Town and it's expensive. Dubrovnik Airport has all major rental car companies, but when renting in Europe we prefer Sixt.

IZNAJMLJIVANJE AUTOMOBILA

Dubrovnik je najbolje obići pješke. Zapravo, cijeli Stari Grad otvoren je samo za pješake. Iz tog razloga ne preporučujemo iznajmljivanje automobila. Ako boravite izvan Starog grada, i želite slobodu automobila, pobrinite se da je parking uključen u vasem smiještaju. Imajte na umu da je parkiralište u Starom gradu i oko njega ograničeno i skupo. Zračna luka Dubrovnik ima sve više opcija za iznajmljivanje automobila, mi kada iznajmljujemo u Europi preferiramo Sixt.

Accommodations

Dubrovnik is a vacation town, so there is a wide variety of accommodations at all price levels. We recommend using Booking.com, VRBO, or Airbnb to find apartments in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. If you find a hotel you absolutely love outside of Old Town, not to worry, there are plenty of taxis and local buses available. Reach out to fellow friends or family who are attending to find a place to share, which will likely be cheaper and more fun. At the moment we have not blocked off any rooms. If you have any trouble or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance.

U Dubrovniku postoji širok izbor smještaja po svim raznim cijenama. Za pronalaženje apartmana u Starom gradu Dubrovniku preporučujemo korištenje Booking.com, VRBO ili Airbnb-a. Ako pronađete hotel koji vam se apsolutno sviđa izvan Starog grada, ne brinite, na raspolaganju vam je mnogo taksija i lokalnih autobusa. Dogovorite se sa prijateljima ili familijom koji dolaze na vjencanje kako biste pronašli mjesto za dijeljenje, što će vjerojatno biti jeftinije i zabavnije. Ako imate bilo kakvih poteškoća ili pitanja, ne ustručavajte se obratiti nam se za pomoć.

Flight

WHERE TO FLY

To reach the city, we recommend flying directly into Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), located less than 15 miles southeast of the city. To get to Dubrovnik from the airport, you can rent a car, take a taxi, book a private transfer or hop on a shuttle bus, which costs 55 kunas (about $8). The easiest way to Dubrovnik from the US: Direct flight from Newark, NJ to Dubrovnik Followed by a 30 min drive into Old Town by Taxi, bus or private transfer United has a direct flight from Newark (EWR) and most major airlines have partners serving Dubrovnik(DBV). Turkish Airlines also has a quick connection from Istanbul, which is an amazing stop on your journey and a great airline.
