Question

What's the timing for the different events on the day of the wedding? When should I arrive?

Answer

All Saturday events are at the main Woodstock Inn building. The wedding will start with a ceremony at 1:00-1:30pm in the Rockefeller Room and we ask all guests be seated by 12:50pm. We'll then move to the front of the Inn on the lawn (or to the lower level of the Inn if there's inclement weather) for Cocktail Hour and family photos 1:30-2:30pm. At 2:30 we'll start moving everyone through to the South Garden of the Inn where we'll be under a tent for the rest of the day from 2:30-10:00pm. We'll have a brunchy buffet starting around 3:15pm, and then from 5:00pm on, we'll just be having a big dance party for the rest of the night. There will be a short dance break around 7:00pm with another round of munchies to keep us fueled up all night long, and then we expect everyone to be back on the dance floor! At 10:00pm, all the official festivities are concluded, but anyone who's still in the party mood is welcome to take the party inside to their rooms at either the Woodstock Inn or Killing Grand Resort. There will be shuttles to and from Killington throughout the evening. The last shuttle leaving Woodstock for Killington will be at 11:30pm (see shuttle FAQ for full schedule).

Question

Where exactly is the Rehearsal Dinner and Killington Breakfast at the resort?

Answer

Both the Rehearsal Dinner and Killington Breakfast are held at the Killington Grand Resort at 228 East Mountain Road, Killington, VT 05751. The Rehearsal Dinner is in the Oscar III Ballroom. To get there, enter the lobby and go down the stairs to the hotel restaurant on the left (Prestons). Walk passed/through the restaurant and then take a right down the hall at the end. Our ballroom is the last one on your left and will be open from 6pm-9pm Friday night. The Killington Breakfast will be on the back patio, weather permitting. To get there, enter the lobby, go down the stairs, and straight out the back of the building where you should see the buffet and tables set up. Breakfast will be open from 10:30am-12:00pm on Sunday. If it's raining, we'll be in the Northstar 1&2 Ballrooms instead which are on the bottom floor of the main building through the lobby and down the stairs. Dress code for both is casual/whatever you're comfortable in.

Question

What's the shuttle schedule? Do I need to sign up for a particular time?

Answer

To get between the hotels, it takes about 35-45 minutes to Woodstock in the big shuttle bus, and more like 30 minutes by car. The drop off and pick-up points will be right at the main entrances to both hotels, The Killington Grand Resort and The Woodstock Inn. Even if you are staying at another hotel or Airbnb, you are still welcome to use the Killington shuttle (the Killington Grand Resort where it's picking up has a parking lot right next to the shuttle pick at the front of the hotel you can use). Here's the schedule for the day: Out-going service: 12:00pm from Killington 12:45pm arrival at the Woodstock Inn Return service: 5:30pm from Woodstock 6:15pm from Killington 7:00pm from Woodstock 7:45pm from Killington 8:30pm from Woodstock 9:15pm from Killington 10:00pm from Woodstock 10:45pm from Killington 11:30pm from Woodstock 12:15pm arrival at Killington In you need transport between the hotel 1pm-5:30pm, there will be a transport manager on site who will have some available for smaller runs as needed.

Question

Is parking available at the Inn?

Answer

Yes! There are two smaller lots at the front of the Inn, and additional parking around the back of the Inn. It is right in downtown Woodstock, so there is a good deal of parking on the town green right in front of the Inn as well although mid-day on a Saturday that might be bit filled up. There are two electric car charging ports available, as well as complimentary valet parking for wedding guests.

Question

What time are we eating during the wedding?

Answer

We'll actually have 3 rounds of food to keep you fueled up to party all night long! We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a brunch buffet and dessert beginning around 3:15pm and then a second round of late night munchies, buffet-style, at 7:00pm as well.

Question

WIll there be an open bar?

Answer

Brunch cocktails, coffee and tea will be complementary during cocktail hour. Pre-selected wine/bubbly will be available for the first part of the reception until 5:00pm. Then at 5:00pm we'll open up a complimentary full bar that will be available for the rest of the night until 10:00pm. Any guests looking for other options are always welcome to go to the hotel bar in the main Inn building as well.

Question

I have dietary restrictions or allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Please just send us a quick note letting us know your dietary needs at: JVforeverandalways@gmail.com Our main meal will be a buffet, and here's what will be available for dairy free (DF), gluten free (GF) and vegan (V) guests: Mixed Garden Greens, Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette (GF, DF, V) Chilled Shrimp and Orzo Salad (DF) Cucumber and Dill Salad (GF, DF, V) Pan Fried Potatoes, Parsley, Onions (V, GF, DF) Olive Oil and Herb Poached Atlantic Salmon, Tomato Confit, Baby Greens, Saffron Aioli (GF) Seared Chicken Breast, Chermoula, Radish and Cucumber Salad (DF, GF) Also, if you'd prefer to skip the buffet and just have your own plated meal according to your needs (vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.), please just let us know via email and we'll be happy to arrange that for you.

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the wedding day? Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

While we certainly hope there are plenty of candid snaps you'll share with us throughout the cocktail hour and reception, we politely request that during the formal events (the ceremony, reception speeches, etc.) you stay present with us and keep the phones down so everyone can enjoy those moments together. For all the candids, please tag us (@mint.and.mallow.kitchen and @thisisvinchenzo and use the hashtag #JVforeverandalways).

Question

What’s the deal with the two breakfasts on Sunday? Am I supposed to come to both?

Answer

Nope! We have two options to accommodate the two (kinda far apart) locations where our guests are staying so we can make sure to say thank you and goodbye to everyone! We’ll have a quick pastries + coffee meet up on the back patio of the Woodstock Inn that will be for Woodstock Inn guests only to swing by and say a quick goodbye before we head up to Killington for the bigger breakfast. Then we’ll drive up to Killington for a longer light breakfast + coffee hour on the back patio of the Killington Grand Resort for all Killington guests and anyone else who wants to join. So in short, the Woodstock breakfast is for Woodstock Inn guests only please (to save them the drive), but everyone is welcome to come the the Killington breakfast. (Please just RSVP to whichever you plan on attending to we make sure we have the right amount of food!)

Question

What's the dresscode?

Answer

Dress to impress on wedding day, but also make sure you're comfortable for the day as we have a nice long time to party together. Jeans would be too casual, but a tux is not necessary either, so think something in between, along the lines of classically defined "cocktail attire." For the guys, this means a suit and tie, and for the ladies, a formal or cocktail dress works great. Changes of shoes are welcome for the dance party and we will be outside for most of the day, so ladies, you may want to reconsider those stilettos. The weather can swing from a little chilly to pretty warm in Vermont in June, so just check the weather before heading our way to gauge what we'll be in for weather-wise. We will be under the tent rain or shine. Dress code for both rehearsal dinner and the breakfasts is casual.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by? How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 8th at the absolute latest, but we appreciate you RSVPing as soon as possible! While we know there are always going to be unforeseen circumstances that may require last minute changes, please let us know "yay" or "nay" for each specific event listed on your personal RSVP card, to the best of your ability as all the food we'll be providing is ordered based on the number of folks planning on attending each event. We want to make sure we have enough food for everyone present, but also don't want to order too much excess either. All the events that you personally are invited to will be listed on the RSVP card and online portal under your name. As a reminder, Friday and Saturday events are adults only, but children are welcome at both of the Sunday breakfasts. Your invitation should arrive with a physical card and stamped envelope you can use to RSVP through good old-fashioned snail mail if you like. If you'd rather RSVP online, feel free to do so in the "RSVP" tab at the top of this website. Either by mail or online is fine with us, so just pick your preference and know there's no need to do both. If you need to make a last minute edit to your RSVP, please just email us at: jvforeverandalways@gmail.com

Question

Are there wedding room blocks? How far is it from Killington to Woodstock?

Answer

Yes! There is a room block at The Woodstock Inn (the wedding location) and Killing Grand Resort (the Rehersal Dinner and Sunday Breakfast location). The two are about 30 minutes apart and shuttle service is provided from Killington to Woodstock and back throughout the whole day Saturday, with shuttles leaving about every hour as needed. Check out the “Travel” page for all the info you need to book the room blocks and additional shuttle info as well. Please note, as of November 2022, the Woodstock Inn block is almost full. If it is full when you call to make your reservation, additional rooms are available to book through the traditional channels on the Inn's website. UPDATE: So technically our block has expired at the Killington Grand Resort as of mid-March, but it doesn't seem like they have taken down the link yet. So if you're still looking to book at Killington, I'd try to book through our group discount link following the instructions on the "Travel" page. If it doesn't work, then I'd just go to the main Killington reservation page (https://bit.ly/killingtonbooking).

Question

Do the hotels allow pets?

Answer

Killington Grand Resort does not allow any pets on the premises. Woodstock Inn does have a sub-set of rooms that are pet-friendly, but you will need to specify that you are looking for a pet friendly room when booking. We love our 4-legged friends, however we do ask that pets do not attend any of the wedding events even if they are along for the ride on the wedding weekend. Official service animals may attend as needed for guest comfort, but please just let us know if you plan on bringing a service animal as we need to inform the Inn and make the appropriate accommodations. Thanks!

Question

Can my kids come? Are there babysitters provided if not?

Answer

Friday and Saturday events (rehearsal dinner and the full wedding day) are for adults only, no kids, so we could keep the numbers from getting too big. We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! The morning after breakfasts on Sunday in both Woodstock and Killington are for the whole family and kids are welcome! We will not be providing any pre-organized babysitting services. Woodstock Inn states on their website that they offer in-room babysitting services for hotel guests with children older than 9 months, so feel free to reach out to them directly to arrange that if you’re staying at the Inn. Another service I have heard of from other Vermont wedding vendors (although full disclosure I have not known anyone who used them directly) is Vermont Nanny Connection (www.vermontnannyconnection.com) and of course there is always Care.com as well.

Question

Do wedding guests have access to the Inn?

Answer

Yes! During our wedding, all guests are welcome to use the Inn common spaces if they need to for any reason. There is a gift shop, restaurant, and bar open on site throughout the day of the wedding.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yep! Just click on the "Registry" tab above to get the link and all the details.

Question

Can I bring my gift to the wedding? If I want to ship is, where should I send it?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience. If you'd like to ship anything to us, you can send it to this address: 2680 Hartford Ave. Unit 36 White River Junction, VT 05001

Question

What is there to do in Killington and Woodstock?

Answer
