and

Justus Whittington

October 14, 2023

Culpeper, VA

Our first Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day, only a few weeks after I met Morgan, I asked her out on a date <3 Morgan lived in Winchester, and I attended Shenandoah University, also in Winchester. I met Morgan through our mutual friend, Zoe!

Pandemic Couple

During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, we were no longer close in proximity at Winchester / Shenandoah University, so we had to drive a lot to spend time together. Or we had cute little Zoom movie dates, lol. But it brought us closer together<3

First Beach Trip!

My family has always gone on summer beach vacations, and since Morgan had spent so much time with my family, they invited her along with us and we had a blast!!

Whitehouse DC date!

Another fun date we had was when we went to the White House, which my family was invited to go to. It was fun because it was the first time Morgan and I dressed up for an event!

One year anniversary

For our one-year anniversary, Morgan and I went to the same restaurant we went to one year prior- Macados! A restaurant downtown with great food and good vibes.

Richmond Science Museum

I saw a Tik Tok of the Science Museum in Richmond and thought it would be a fun date, so I took Morgan. There was a ton of interactive stuff there, and I recommend going for yourself!

Summer 2 electric boogaloo

Our second summer together was different because things were opening up again. Morgan and I would meet in the middle at Culpeper, Front Royal, and Warrenton. Morgan started a new job at Children of America. I was working as a lifeguard by my house, and interning at the VDH in Winchester. We also had a summer vacation with my family again and it was perfect!

DC date #2?

I went with Morgan back to DC to explore the museums and the metro! Morgan had never been on a metro, so it was a fun and exciting experience. We went to the American History and Air/Space Museum. We explored DC on electric scooters and saw the pencil (thank you, Spider-Man, for saving those students!)

Kings Dominion Hauntfest

Morgan had never been to KD, so I took her with my family to Hauntfest. She’s more into horror and scary movies than I am, so it was a challenge for me, but those clowns didn't stand a chance against me!

Teacher!

Morgan started her job as an elementary school teaching assistant, which was super exciting! Morgan had been going to school for general education, but she finally found her passion, working with children!

My first (real) Apple Blossom??

Apple Blossom is this fun fair festival event in Winchester, which wasn’t a thing during the pandemic/lockdowns. But Morgan showed me what it was like for my first Apple Blossom. We went to the carnival and to the Grand Feature Parade, which was awesome!!

Proposal!!

I took Morgan to the Shenandoah mountains. There we had a picnic, watched Cars on the Road, and then we took some pictures, did the Charlie's Angels pose, and I proposed. It was a cloudy day, but the sun shone through when I got down on one knee. It was such a beautiful day and moment<3
