What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Warm, dry heat. In June, typically the highs are between 85-90 degrees during the day and the lows are between 72-82 degrees in the evening. It can get a bit breezy so at night you might want a light jacket/sweater - watch the weather forecast as it gets closer.

How long will it take to get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Tulsa does have toll road that could be used to get around - The Creek (OK-364). From the church, with toll road it will take about 20 minutes. The cost is $0.75 cash or $1.25 by plate pay. There is a non- toll route listed below will take about 30 minutes: Head north toward S Mingo Rd Take E 81st St to E A St in Jenks (on for about 8 miles) Take E 101st St/Aquarium Dr to S Elm St (on for about 1.5 miles) Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto S Elm St (on for about 1.5 miles) Turn left onto W 116th St Spain Ranch will be on the right side in just under a mile (a white brick wall says SPAIN RANCH with an open gate).

Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is INDOORS at the Asbury UMC Chapel. The Cocktail hour will be OUTDOORS with yard games, apps, & drinks! There will be some table seating but mostly bistro tables. There is a concrete sidewalk to the patio but also a grass area. The reception will be directly following the cocktail hour and will be INDOORS. With access out to the yard games & other late night activities when the dance floor opens for the night! Get ready to party!

What will happen after the ceremony?

Answer

The immediate family, grandparents, and wedding party will stay to take pictures at Asbury UMC. The Rest of the guests may freshen up at the hotel and/or just proceed to SPAIN RANCH for the cocktail hour. During the cocktail hour is when extended family photos will be taken at SPAIN RANCH.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where do the guests park?

Answer

Parking is free and abundant at both locations. At Asbury: Google Maps/Maps will take you to the front entrance but the chapel is located to the left of the main entrance it is a separate building connected by an outdoor walkway; please park next to the chapel in the surrounding parking lot areas. At Spain Ranch: There is FREE VALET parking that we ask all guests to use because you will enter the cocktail hour at a different location from your exit at the end of the reception. Where you exit for the reception will have your standard valet booth & lighted area.

Are Kids Allowed?

YES! We are excited to celebrate all in your family and have planned some activities to help you entertain them during the cocktail hour and reception. So feel free to stay for the grand exit!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 15, 2022. Our preferred method of RSVP is online via our website.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

The Cocktail hour will have passed appetizers and drinks (one beer, wine, 2 cocktails, water, lemonade, tea). During the reception, we will have a plated salad, buffet with a beef and chicken option for protein, vegetables and potato sides. The kids will have their own kid buffet with chicken bites, carrots & celery, mac and cheese. A full bar will be available. Dessert will be wedding cake of 3 flavors. Toward the end of the evening a late night snack bar will be available.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes; Please do! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #________ so we can keep track of all of your pictures and enjoy them with you!

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

All the venues are close together that guests will be responsible for their own transportation.

Answer

The reception will at midnight but the grand exit of the couple will be at 10:30 PM.

We are registered on Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, & Zola. All are able to be accessed easily from the registry tab on the website.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
