BUMBLE - We met through an app called Bumbl, where girls have to make the first move. Once there's interest from both sides, the woman has to write the first message within 24 hours, or the match disappears forever. So, Yoko made the first move and sent a message which simply read "Hi" to Justin! A few weeks later, we went on our first date. POKEMON - On our first date, we met at the famous "LOVE" sign (yes, very cheesy!) with the intention of playing Pokemon Go in Central Park. However, no sooner had we met than it began to rain, so we took shelter in a nearby bar and ended up spending hours talking and laughing instead. (We still managed to catch a few Pokemon after we finally left the bar too!)
Justin was secretly planning to propose to Yoko on a sunset cruise, but as the other passengers made their way onto the boat, we quickly realized it was turning into more of a trashy club scene than the romantic and relaxing evening we had in mind. So we abandoned the ship before it ever even left the dock to enjoy the sunset at the park nearby. Justin began taking pictures of Yoko, and the sunset, then he got down on one knee to frame Yoko against the Sunset, and said "Wait, I need to switch to a different lens." But when he reached into his camera bag, he didn't pull out another camera lens. He pulled out a small cherry box, and opened it to reveal a stunning engagement ring! He asked Yoko to get married and she said, "YES!!!!!"
We will have a courthouse wedding on 11/17/2017 in Manhattan. The date of the wedding, 11-17-17, translates into "Oh how nice, how nice! (with a little envy, iina iina)" in Japanese, commencing our happy marriage life.
Please join our wedding celebration reception. We will have a small family-only reception on the rooftop at our new apartment in Astoria, Queens. The reception will start with some drinks, and then a dinner to follow at a nearby trattoria. Address: 30-11 21st St APT 6D, Astoria, NY 11102 Time: 4PM or 5PM (Sunset time) till Midnight
