What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal, black tie optional We invite our guests to dress up for our celebration. Tuxedos and gowns are welcome, though formal suits and dresses are equally perfect.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have room blocks at nearby hotels for our wedding weekend. Please see the travel page for more info. If you would like to stay at our reception hotel, rooms may be reserved directly through the hotel by calling. Please note that we do not currently have an active discounted room block there, so availability will be based on the hotel’s standard inventory. Because our wedding weekend coincides with Syracuse University Family Weekend, we encourage guests to book early.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The cathedral asks that guests arrive 30 minutes early to find parking and your seat. Our ceremony starts at 2pm and it is mostly street parking as well as a small lot across from the cathedral.

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes, if you plan to drive to the reception the hotel offers valet, as well as a parking garage to safely park your car. Street parking is also available.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children at the reception, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening. If you would like to bring your kids to the cathedral for the ceremony or welcome party they are welcome to come!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

What should we do in between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

With there being a gap of time between the ceremony and when cocktail hour begin we have a list of places on our site under “Things to do” as suggestions for places to check out if you’re already checked into your hotel room and ready for the evening! There are also two bars and restaurants at the hotel/venue to grab drinks and food, plenty of bars and restaurants not listed on our page downtown, or just walk around and explore downtown Syracuse during the prettiest time of year there!

Yes! Please see the schedule page on our website for the list of events. We will be having a welcome party the night before.
