Maeve and Justin both attended D’Youville College, where Justin had seen Maeve around and had a crush on her long before they ever spoke. Their only real connection was following each other online..Until one day in February 2020, he finally took the leap and sent Maeve a message through instagram. Maeve’s heart skipped when she saw his name, something about him just felt right and familiar to her. Not long after Maeve and Justin’s first couple of hang outs, the world shut down. The cause? COVID-19. What started as casual study dates turned into cozy quarantine nights in Maeve’s apartment — doing puzzles, painting, and simply getting to know every facet of each other. In the midst of uncertainty, they found something steady in each other. The years that followed shaped them — through graduating nursing and phsyical therapy school, new careers, and building a life together. They learned how to adult together, supported one another, grew together, and created the kind of everyday life that feels like home; shared with their two fluffy cats, Maeve (the cat) and Winky. In April 2025, during a weekend get away to Toronto for Maeve’s birthday, Justin surprised Maeve with a moment straight out of a fairytale. Knowing her love for anything elegant and castle-like, he chose Casa Loma as the perfect place to get down on one knee. Maeve was completely surprised, and it’s a memory they’ll both cherish forever. Now, six years later, they’re so excited to begin the next chapter of their story — celebrating their wedding surrounded by the people they love most.
