Wedding Party

Lindley Hopkins

Bride

Justin Mitchell

Groom

Mary Kate Bolton

Maid of Honor

Lindley met Mary Kate at conception- when the Good Lord decided there should be not one, but two obnoxious girls in the Hopkins Family with bad knees and overbites. Tragically separated by Interstate 45, there is no one Lindley calls more in a given day than Mary Kate. She's her best friend and confidant and is in a three-way tie with Justin and Sasha for Lindley's favorite person. She's also cute as a button and single.

Kristine Rubio

Bridesmaid

Lindley met Kristine while teaching at Title Boxing Club in Plano. Initially, Lindley was intimidated by Kristine due to the faces she made while punching the bag. However, one night Lindley walked up to both Kristine and her sister, and in true Golden Retriever Energy asked them if they wanted to be friends. Kristine is Lindley's favorite Knuck if You Buck Introvert, and the two of them share a love of making a playlist for an occasion.

Sally Rubio

Bridesmaid

Sally is the other half of the wonderful Rubio Sisters. Like most older sisters, she is shorter and spicier, yet was more approachable to Lindley when she first met them at Title Boxing Club. She is a holistic queen and an incredible mother. She gives Lindley the best advice on taking care of her health and wellness.

Katie Hearron

Bridesmaid

Katie and Lindley met when Lindley was working at Dan F Long in Carrollton. In typical Lindley fashion, she decided she wanted to be friends with Katie and once again forced another introvert into being her pal. Katie taught her everything she knows about volleyball, basketball, and track- and perfected her free throws. Lindley likes to say Katie is the Arnold Schwarzenegger to her Danny DeVito.

Katie Carroll

Bridesmaid

Lindley met Katie Carroll while teaching fourth grade at Furneaux Elementary. They were the ultimate team, both teaching language arts and inspiring kids. Lindley made Katie's lunches and Katie would use her incredible calligraphy to make beautiful anchor charts! Katie took Lindley to her first college football game (Go OU!), and taught her how to rock climb.

Marcy Hopkins

Bridesmaid

Lindley met Marcy when her brother brought her home while dating in college. Lindley couldn't believe someone so beautiful and nice would want to date her brother- let alone marry him! Marcy is by far the sweetest Hopkins, and Lindley could not have asked for a better sister-in-law.

Ben Scroggins

Bridesman

Lindley met Ben when they both worked at ASI Gymnastics. They quickly became fast friends through their love of musical theatre and sweet treats. Ben is Lindley's most talented friend- he has the voice of an angel, is an incredible tumbler (yes, he will be doing backflips at the reception), and honestly should have a comedy special on Netflix.

Russell Bowden

Groomsman

Justin and Russell met in the 8th grade. Becoming instant best friends after Russell realized he and Justin played little league baseball together, and the fact that they both played Counter-Strike. One walk home from school, a few hours' worth of a gaming session, and the rest is history. Through high school, first cars, first girlfriends, college, joining a fraternity together, playing rugby together, loss, triumphs and everything else between, Russell and Justin were inseparable for the better part of two decades. Russell now lives in Colorado where he loves to rub in the nice weather and scenery any chance he can.

Jay Biggs

Groomsman

Jay and Justin's friendship began in the most "boys will be boys" type of way. Outside the gym in 9th grade, and after the most brutal exchange of "nut check" recorded by man, the two made a pact to, 1. never play "nut check" with each other again and 2. be friends. Jay and Justin became really close as Justin began to play rugby. They learned the rules of rugby, a little bit of French, and that watching Top 14 Rugby at 3:00 AM is an experience. We all have that friend that you look towards each other and say "how does this always happen to us?" That is Jay and Justin. They have been in some odd predicaments together, but they always seem to come out the other side.

David Walby

Groomsman

Justin and David met in the 6th grade. "You know she's way hotter than you, right?" "... yep." Were the first words David and Justin ever said to each other, talking about Justin's 6th grade "girlfriend". The acknowledgment of this led to a summer they'd never forget. Swimming at Justin's house almost every day, playing football together all through middle school and high school, staying up late playing Gears of War, all lead to a friendship that would survive them going to separate colleges and living almost 6 hours away from each other. David and Justin share a lot of similarities, too many to share, but both strong, athletic, personable, witty, and... bald. They had to stick together during the trying times of becoming bald and owning the look before they were both 20 years old. That is an unbreakable bond.

Ariel Cordova

Groomsman

Ariel and Justin started as friends by proxy in 10th grade, because Ariel and David were friends, but the friendship grew and grew as the four of them, Ariel, David, Jay and Justin hung out almost every day. When Ariel and David went to Texas Tech for school, Justin would visit them often because he would play rugby there, and those were some of the best weekends of their lives. What really brought Justin and Ariel together was the summer of 2013. Ariel had just finished college, and had no job, and Justin had two jobs. Yet Ariel would beg and plead for Justin to hangout or go out almost every night. Three months of debauchery may have brought them closer, but it is told that Justin is still recovering to this day.

Robert Poyser

Groomsman

Justin and Robert met after college, when they started to play rugby together at Alliance Rugby Club. The first night they met, Robert thought Justin was a grown man in his 40's who drove a minivan, but when he found out they were the same age and he drove an F-150, it floored him so much that he made Justin go out for post-training beers. After serving as a dynamic duo of Captain and Vice-Captain for 5 reasons of rugby, Robert and Justin were forced to become close, but it also was organic. Both gamers, both athletes, and both having the "I'm about it." attitude, they were almost instant friends. The two would make magic on the pitch, go to the social and drink everyone under the table, then go and game until 5:00 AM. Their friendship turned into a brotherhood that could not be undone.

Cody Carter

Groomsman

Cody is Justin's longest friend. Being friends since the 2nd grade and maintaining that friendship has been easier than one would think. There is not a single thing that they haven't been through together, as they went to grade school, middle school, and high school together. Cody has also never missed a Thanksgiving at Justin's mom's house. He refuses to miss out on all of the cooking. The memories and stories of Tom Foolery are limitless, and even if they would go months or even years (as they got older) without seeing each other, it would be like they never skipped a beat.

Alex Kenney

Groomsman

Justin and Alex met when Ariel started at Southwest Airlines. Alex and Ariel were roommates and instantly Alex and Justin were bros. Being two big guys, the vibes were vibing from jump. Alex moved to D.C. shortly after he and Justin met but maintained a friendship along the way. During Covid, Justin and Alex's friendship grew as they both suffered from medical hardships and dealing with the world shutting down. Keeping each other accountable and making each other stay positive, their friendship truly turned into a brotherhood.

Bo Slaton

Officiant

Bo and Lindley met when he was student teaching at Furneaux, and she taught fourth grade. They played on a recreational softball team and became great friends. Bo helped Lindley get hired at Murphy Middle School, where she had the best 2 years of her teaching career.
