On our first date, we bonded over a shared love of tacos and great conversations at Xicha Brewing, with a flight of margaritas to take the edge off. This taqueria and brewery remains of our favorite places in town for a casual, yet delicious meal.
On our second date, we enjoyed pastries and coffee at this cute french-inspired coffee shop and restaurant featuring a variety of baked goods, coffee drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
On our third date, we held hands and talked while taking a beautiful stroll through the partially wooded walking trails at Dorris Ranch.
After our walk at Dorris ranch, we worked up an appetite and headed over to enjoy the river-front seating at North Bank- which has a wide range of Pacific Northwest foods, burgers and brews.
On our fourth date, we walked down the Amazon trail and to Prince Puckler’s ice cream shop, where Kenzie introduced Justin to the magic that is chai tea ice cream. From there they walked down the block to Washburne Park where they sat in the grass for hours learning more about each other.
On our fifth date we went on yet another walk, this time by the river at Alton Baker Park, which eventually led to the Owen Rose Gardens.
On date number six, we headed to the thrift shop to find an outfit for a themed party Kenzie attended later that night. There is always something fun to discover at our favorite secondhand clothing shop, which features both men’s’ and women’s attire.
After thrift shopping on date number six, we grabbed some sushi at Sushi Pure, where Kenzie learned that Justin did not, in fact, like raw fish. She may or may not still give him a hard time about his rigid affinity for California rolls.
On date number seven we headed for a 30-40 minute hike up Spencer’s butte and enjoyed snacks and a view at the top.
On their eighth date, Kenzie and Justin enjoyed a meal at agate alley bistro— a quirky little restaurant with lots of character and amazing drinks, food, and happy hour deals.
On our ninth date we had fun tiki-inspired cocktails at the Monkey’s Paw and hot dogs from a nearby food cart. During this date Kenzie learned just how obsessed Justin was with all things pirate-jungle-tropical themed.
On our tenth date we brought stand-up-paddle boards to Dexter lake and enjoyed a picnic, lots of trial and error to find our balance, and many laughs as we fell into the water, and for each other.
Though it’s not the site of our 10th date, this is the site where we have made most of our memories to date— in May of 2024 we purchased our first home together and have come to love hosting our loved ones for BBQs, birthdays, halloweens, and movie nights. We are excited to grow our small but mighty family in this house. If you are visiting from out of town, we encourage you to stop by during the week of the wedding and say hello.
