How we met

Tomatoes and Fur Coats

Katie: Some of you may remember November 9, 2016 for a shocking election; I remember that day for very different reasons - it was the day I met Justin Ciccone. A few days prior, a picture of this handsome dark haired man, staring at a tomato kept popping up on my phone. I kept swiping left, thinking this guy must live far away. By the 3rd time his picture popped up, I finally decided to swipe right. The rest was history! NEVER DID I EVER think I would meet my soulmate online, but as some of you may have caught on, we met on Tinder. The morning after we met, I stepped out of my car at work and there were mushrooms popping up everywhere in the grass. I thought it must be a little stroke of fate as I found out the night before that Justin is an avid mushroom hunter. From that day on, we never stopped hanging out and life's happy coincidences kept on happening. Justin: NEVER DID I EVER think I would go on two dates with the same girl from Tinder. It was a night like any other, my usual date spot, Lupulo, my usual attire, the same shirt I wore on every date that I would clean off in the sink with a towel, blow dried to perfection, and to top it off a drop of Vetiver essential oil. Katie's profile popped up and I noticed she liked horses. "What do horse girls like?" I asked myself. I told her I had extremely supple ankles. It was a lie, but it worked. A reality TV star had just won the election and I could tell by her texts that she was upset. I told her I would only go on a date with her if she didn't fight anyone. She agreed reluctantly and we met at Lupulo. When she walked in, I was amazed that she actually looked like she did in her photos! While sitting at my usual corner table something occurred to me, this girl is really cool and beautiful, I should probably act somewhat normal. A couple hours later we were at my place blasting music, I had my big fur coat and a straw hat on and was marching around my kitchen in circles playing my bass. I could get used to this.
