It all started with a SAT bootcamp? Tia and Jennifer first met as they were both high school students. She played clarinet in the marching band and I was in color guard swinging my flag. A mutual guidance counselor let us know he had selected us to be part of an SAT Bootcamp at Clemson University, Both looking for a chance to advanced ourselves academically, Tia and I embarked on a summer camp that would change our lives. Tia and I bonded and became best friends. While she went on to become a Clemson Alum, I went on to become a Carolina Alum our friendship was cemented. I am so excited to have Tia serve as one of my matrons of honor for her big day.

You can stand under my umbrella. I can still remember the day I met this special lady. During my first week of freshman orientation, I walked over to our student union to take the buses for my first big Carolina event. First Night Carolina was a special event for new students that was supposed to get us all ready to become Gamecock fans. Unfortunately for me, I hadn't packed an umbrella and a summer storm had just started. It must've been the look of devastation combined with my newly relaxed hair that caught Ti'a's attention. She smiled and asked if I wanted to join her under her huge polka dot umbrella. I was relieved and from that day on we became tight. Tia truly became one of my closest friends and after joining her on her day I can't wait to have her stand by my side.

Shimia is one of my longest friends. We first met in Kindergarten and I just knew Shi had rolled her eyes at me. After telling our teacher similar stories, she sat us together and the rest was history. Of course, our friendship only strengthened once we learned we were cousins. From virgin daiquiris together on July 4th, to college graduation and standing by her side on her wedding day Shi's been a constant and endearing friend. I'm so glad she's returning the favor on my special day!

There are some people you meet once and know instantly you'll be friends forever and that describes Ceara so well! We had the pleasure of getting to know each other through my good friend and wedding officiant Tyrek. Tia (MOH), Tyrek, and I had become super close in college, we're like the 3 musketeers. We've stayed tight over the years and I was elated to meet the person that had captured Ty's heart. Ceara was the first and might I say the last girlfriend Ty introduced to us. Whether it's our love of throwback music, a resume review, or toasting for Sunday brunch Ceara is always right there. I got witness her marry one of my good friends earlier this year; she's now returning the favor and I'm so honored to have her by my side.

You ever have someone you just instantly click with? Well, that's exactly what my relationship with Zaria is like. We met my sophomore year and her freshmen year at USC when I was her RA in college. I can remember getting my list of girls prior to move in and seeing a girl with her hometown listed as Gaffney, SC. I was too excited. Pacolet and Gaffney were so close to each other! I was starting to slowly gain confidence as a second-year student but the idea that I was going to have someone from close to home helped to make my transition so much better! Ever since that year Zaria and I have bonded over our love of music, good music, and our ambition to make our parents proud. Zaria was a beautiful bride last year and I'm so happy to have her join me this year for my wedding.

Ever wonder what it's like to be born with your best friend? With or without my locs, there's no mistaking the fact that Josh and I are twins. Josh is more than just my twin and best man, he's my best friend. We share nearly all the same similar interests so seeing one of us likely meant seeing the other growing up. Although we don’t talk every single day, we easily spend hours catching up on each other’s lives when we do. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else by my side for my big day.

I met Kwame the summer before high school started and we've been cool since. He's always the life of the party and is a great travel buddy on all of our planned group trips. We've turned up near and far. While Covid has slowed those trips down, we're all looking forward to making post-pandemic travel plans

I know many Michaels but only one Mike Mike. I met Mike Mike during 9th grade and we've been cool since. Mike was my roommate during a summer camp at Wingate University in the 10th grade. After high school, our friend group kept close contact. During college, we would visit and hang out at each other's schools or meet up and hang out during the weekends everyone was home. Shout out to the many pool hall nights

Darius is my nephew but we’re only 5 years apart so we grew up pretty close. Darius would spend the weekend or a week at a time during the summer and was always a part of the adventures. From backyard sports to video game tournaments, Darius was always down for whatever Josh and I were up to.

Jovan aka Miles Stone is another good friend from high school and one of the most ambitious people I know. Like many friendships, it all started with Yo Mama jokes. Back then you could easily find us hanging out at Walmart (Welcome to Roanoke Rapids) or just riding around. While we live in different cities today, I'm sure to catch up with JT anytime Im in Atlanta. One of the dopest travel memories I have is the experience of Bonfire ATL.

To know Ty is to love him. Jennifer had the pleasure of meeting Tyrek through Tia when they were all sophomores in college. Although he was initially shy, after sharing a meal together the three friends instantly clicked. They maintained their friendship throughout the years by encouraging each other and meeting for food and fun as often as possible. Not only is Ty an incredible author and baker he is also an incredible preacher. His words are powerful, loving, and God-filled. When it came time to decide who would marry us on our special day, we both knew we wanted our brother Tyrek to officiate our wedding.
